I'm starting to run this engine and was looking for opinions on the low end needle. Are any of you using the low end needle? Or Just cutting it off and screwing it in?

I am running mine in a hydro. Unscrewed it at first. Then, cut it off.

cut it off it cost me a race by not cutting it off as it vibrated back in and could not run up to speed during a race

I have two Betas, one has the low needle, the other doesn't, I personally cant tell a difference.

Walt,
These are very smooth running motors and you should not have that much vibration to move the needle. Check the run out on the collet. That is where most vibration comes from.
