Tim,What is a billet piston?

Joe,

As PJ said - it is a machined piston rather than a cast piston. They are also made from a higher percentage silicon alloy (30%) than the stock cast pistons. There was only 0.5gram difference between the stock piston and the billet and when assembled there was only .0005" diference in the squish clearance.
