Well after watching the elec boats run flipping dunking and keep on going and the gas cats get lose after losing there cowls. I had a brain storm  DNF in two heats from dunking. Eng still running after one but full of water going no where.

Just a prototype going to try it this weekend.

I think they make a cowling for that boat get a hold of Lenny Blake rumrunning racing he makes the boat

I left my stuffing tube hole in the transom open like the seducers do, never had a water issue, unless it stopped running :(

David take and drill a real small hole next to your stuffing tue make it as low as possible so your water will drain out while running. Bring it to Brandon i will help you work on it.

The first thing I did Sunday night was make the hole bigger. Needed more adj for the strut to get it higher to run the X457/3.

E mailed Lenny have not heard back yet.

Got a cowl for a air plane to put over the pipe. When I get every thing were I want it going to make one out of glass.

Going to need something to tighten it up if I get it up on the X457/3. Already going 64MPH with the 455. Going to test a V955 also. havn't had much luck getting them to hook up in the past. I'm hoping that a larger diameter one with more blade will hook up.

Going to keep going bigger on the prop till I hit a wall with the power.

If I can only get my exit off 5 down and let go quicker.

David

Stick with that prop right now and try moving your pipe in a little at a time when it finally slows down bring it out a bit.

Well now that is highest speed logged on the eagle tree in testing. It hits the highest speed just after turning in to the corner. This is telling me to raise the strut to un load the prop a little. It will hit 59 every time at the end of the straits like clock work.

Many people talk about top speed on there GPS. Found out top registered speed dose not mean much. You have to see the average speed when making a run when you down load to the lap top. If you lose corner speed it dose not mean much.

What I have found is that the tongs of the prop gives the bite in the corner. By adjusting the tongs profile you can run a bigger prop and keep the same corner speed as the small prop and give up nothing in the corner in the way of speed. the large prop has the same corner speed as the small prop but a higher average speed over all.

So you can hang in the corners and unload and explode off the corners.

Just what I have seen with my setup.

David

Well at the last race the boat was acting funny. would stall in the corners and was not up to speed. Messed with the eng, tried a new needle. could not figure it out. Noticed some cracks in the paint in the bottom front of the hull. Looked real close and pushed on it and it opened up about 4". Found the problem

Every time I brought the boat in it had a lot of water in it. Dumb a## <_<

Well after dunking it at 60+ a few times it had enough for a 20 year old hull. I had epoxied a fuel tray in the front and it broke right at the front of the tray. No flex where the tray was. The front of the boat was trying to fold back over its self and snapped right at the tray.

Well here we go again :(

Here are some pics of my Cal-Craft 44 with a CMB 101, I think X Mono is one of the funnest classes to run. As you can see the Seaducer is going down.
