hi fellas i have a 1/8 scale miss circus circus hydro kit i am going to build, i have had a thought of converting it to brushless and lipo for something different. any suggestions on how to convert size of engine needed .67 nitro to a brushless size as big or a bit bigger. and recomendations on speed controls and batteries? i am kinda new to the brushless deal , i have one in a mini v i have but the 1/8 will kinda need a bigger mount. any help is appreciated. thank you.

Terminator, depending on the weight of the boat a lehner 2280/11, 2280/12 will work, a plettenberg 370 a1, a neu 1527 1.5y or you can get really crazy and run the neu 22 series....

I run 1/8th electric, I have the griffon bud with a 2280/12 and a velasco 1/8th running a 2280/11, I raced against douggie twiats jr, who ran a converted gas atlas, he ran the 2280/11,

The speedos I have seen work, are the schultz 40-160, and I have seen the castle hv 110 used, I ran 32 x 37000 nimh, this year but they will not last long, the way to go would be with a 10s 2p set up but in a lightweight boat you could probably get away with 1p

I have never run lipo yet but I have seen it and the temps after a run and in my opinion it is the way to go....

it's not cheap... motor and speedo are in the 1200-1500 range....

i also hear some guys running a club class out in cali on an 8s set up, but again i have no experience with that....

I will say 1/8th scale on electric is awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
