Thank You Brandon Model Boaters!!! As always a good time. Friends. calm water and fast boats made for a nice day of racing. Norm 20 mono 1st place! Andy next time just place 1st every heat. Thanks Rod H.
Yes very good race in Brandon, thanks to the Brandon club for putting together a good one day deal. The last heat of the day was very fun to watch. Have to say Davis' 60 boat is impressive. Not a dull heat in 60 class all day.

David D.s boat is FAST...

Where else can you go to a one day and race with national level boats and drivers?

Rod wins two classes, Perfect scores in both? Forty hydro is running very well.

Tough competition for Andy.. Four perfect starts, three wins, and one oops.. Next time man!

Had a good time. Jay & I ran 5 boats and only broke 3. Nice to see everyone and get the rust off. Hope there will be another one day event besides the Stewart race which will be in cooler conditions. Left a folding chair in the pit area (Jay) Maybe we can reclaim it in Oct?

You need to come back sooner than that!

I heard somebody in our area talking about how many US winners there were there...., (Andy?)...I took a quick look and pointed out 15 people at least..most of them winning US1 multiple times and some were E.O.P. winners. I am sure there were more. Pretty cool stuff.

It was 3 perfect starts-Well, called legal  a start/2nd and a 1st - crashed leading in the first heat. Another heat would have been nice

Thanks for the pit help Norm B)

Dont hurt it mills like a gas boat and still jumps right up :D

And your right- I forgot to start driving it at lap 4 in that first heat and Gene was coming like a freight train,

boat ran out of talent

You may have overheard me telling my brother and his wife about some of you just looking around while it was raining Norm, I was like," there are National Champions of some sort- US-1 holders - EOP's - and a HOF'r for good measure racing here today, at a local One Day race

Good stuff B) B) B)

Thank you Brandon for putting on a great racing event once again...it was Fl. weather at it's finest for everybody there. Just a little sticky, but the racing made up for all of the weather mishaps . Thx to all who came and raced, and to every person who CD'ed the race and pulled retrieve boat duty.

If it was the Green folding chair, it is in our Club's Shed at the Brandon race site, I personally remember taking it out of the retrieval boat because someone grabbed it and put it in the shed.

If you happen to be in the area on a Sunday and know ahead of time, Greg and I are usually always out there if you want to grab it just message me on here.

Definitely had a blast, this was only my second race so far and I am hooked. Then to walk away with a 3rd place in Skiff, Sport Hydro, and Open hydro made for a happy ending to the day.

The only downside was getting drenched head to toe cleaning up the race site but it was worth it. I think the general concensus is we all enjoy the one day races so we'll have to see if we can fit some more races in once the weather cools down.

Thank you for everyone coming out and making our Brandon race a success!

Matt your hard work in the recovery boat is appreciated- rest assured , ask anyone- I have spent my fair share of time doing what you thanklessly did Sunday. Honestly I just needed to show up to a race and race for once.......

it was a nice change B)

Thanks Andy, I don't mind doing it at all, though at times it does get hectic running the boat and racing back to back but all in a day of good fun.

It had more to do with how it was scored that had my interest professor  - but thanks

Shame you didnt show and run 40Mono - that pic you love to show inspired me-

Just ask Gene ;)
