Tough day at open water (better than working ) with lots of tuning issues for a lot of people . Lots of Magnetic Bouys !!!!!!!!! Gonna be a great race tomorrow .

Mark ..props are killer...... can't wait to get the needles tweaked and shorten pipes a bit . Perfect weather and good people ..all good . :) :)

Yeah all the twin guys had issues with tunning but at the end of the day eric's,Tom ,Larry, julian and alex's twins where looking very good. Tomorrow is the day lets have some good racing and avoid the killer bouys.

The boat tuning today has been a big challenge for many. Water is very heavy, full of sediment, so much so that you cannot see more than 8" deep in the water. Prop changes galore for many racers. I have gotten very spoiled with very fast and clear water back home. But the weather is outstanding.

I would have to agree, I reset buoy 2 today and compared to last Sat-when I reset the same buoy- water clarity has changed a ton. I had a hard time finding the sub-buoy in less than three feet.

That said , I never got a chance to wet a boat today. Are the prop changes going down in size John ??

HA HA.... Typical Florida racing, Black water in shallow lakes. You will Prop Down & Pull the pipe back & redrill the head for 10/32 water fittings....... Dead of Summer you might run 3-4 water outlets to keep it all cool....... for sure Not the water you find in Charleston or Evansville...

It's not the water with the pea soup particulate Algae !!...it's the **** Full Moon !! Man there are gremlins spawning in Brandon this weekend !!! . BTW a 3 PK will withstand a full sledgehammer body slam to a table and keep on working ...ask me how I know !!!! :) !

Interesting you should mention the moon. Last night the moon was closer to the earth than it has been in 18 years...hmmmmm.

Prez Steve Hearle, Great race you are very much in your element. Good mood , lots of smiles and looked after all racers to be sure they where informed and which heat they where in again great Job!

great racing everything went very smooth. i would like to thank the Brandon model boaters for a great race..

all classes where very close A Mod Tunnel and Twins where amazing.

The Twin class was probably the highlight for me going thru a wreck  Anthony Black,Tom Foley,Larry Beals,Thomas Elkins,Nub Kopisca my uncle George thrashing to fix the damage done when i struck dic Jones X hydro destroying his boat and doing some damage to my twin and as ussual all the twin members came out to thrash.

Thomas with the materials for the boom tubes,Tom foley with his machine shop LOL, Larry beals with the rock solid glue and set up of the boat,my uncle and i taking everything apart and making sure everything was to the proper lenth, Nub Kopisca with the torch to take out the tubes in the sponsons, Anthony Black with the set up table and ralph almirola on the phone giving instructions on set up and proper measurements.. These guys are amazing went out of there way to help out and i thank everyone for their help and support on the race.

thats why this hobbie is amazing everyone is willing to go out of their way to help anyone in trouble and ensure there in the race for the next heat no matter what has to be done.

Twin racing was as ussual insane, storng and crazy.

Larrry beals had it dialed in and all the other racers gunning for 2nd and 3rd.

Then the Twin Shootout 6 Twins WOW is the only way to describe it 2 boats survived Nub and I when i was comming around for the last lap i lost radio and could not do anything but watch it go in the bushes no damage.

Thank You also to Mark Sholund your props where on the money nothing but speed

Great victory  Nub Kopisca you are the Brandon Twin Hydro Champion you ran Perfect and did everything right..

thank you all for a great race from the winternats to Brandon and everyone that helped me in any way from Pitmans to Fixing boats and advice THANK YOU i will never forget this experience racing here in FL.

I tell everyone you wanna race hard with a really strong running racers come to FL you will never forget what you will experience here..
