In the stock outboard 20 tunnel classes, can you run the OS inflight needle mounted directly on the OS carb or do you have to run the stock needle?
 
OK, so you guys are just backing out the stock needle if using a remote needle? I assume you cannot cut off the needle either?
 
That is correct for NAMBA. Original needle must be used. I just back it out.

I ran into that problem at the NAMBA Nats 2021. Mark Grim mentioned to me that I have to use the original needle (even I had the OS Inflight needle in a Ferrette base) So I installed it real quick and backed it out as far as possible.

Tyler my understanding is your allowed to cut the needle off since IMPBA rule stock appearing from outside. So swirl machined carbs would not be legal since you can see the swirls and the exhaust outlet and carb inlet still have to meet max dia.
