what an awesome boat.......darn shame to do this to it.

very well mannered, flys with great attitude turns very consistently.

My mac was putting out like the town whore when I kissed the center pole at Greenbaiar while backing back up the slope. :(

hit so hard, I blew the battery out the front of the radio box and threw the cowling. Was Wide open Easily around 50mph. completely wasted all the radio equipment since the radio box was one with the lake.

completely wasted the hull...... <_<

you can still see some of the orange color of the post imbedded in the boat :p

Sorry to see this happen! I was just admiring the recent pics you posted, and now this. :( If you could comment, how was the Magnum (I believe that's what is is) running, handling, etc., as I am researching for a possible replacement for my Leecraft since first day of testing with one of Tim's NR coversions suggests I'm going to need more boat! :D

arg, what a nasty hit. So far i haven't had that much damage, so i count myself lucky. Last weekend there were also a few crashes at our powerboatmeeting in Nuenen. One was a 5 foot apache with a mathe that had radio failure and went into the trees. They had to kick it loose, auch: apache

Da Da Da Dah Da Dah..............another one bites the dust........Da Da Da Dah Da Dah..........and another one girl ....and another one girl.........another one bites the dust!

Kev, crap man sorry to see that! I might be buying to Maus Champ tunnels, maybe I'll send you my Magnum?

Wally,

I’ve got to be honest with you …. This was the best handling tunnel I’ve ever run. It takes a lot of power and handles it extremely well…..the boat is easy to drive since you don’t have to blip the throttle or set the boat for the turns. The magnum was in the turns it turns smoothly and gives you back exactly what you give it in terms of input.. No doubt this hull will be replaced by another Magnum…wouldn’t think of getting another 20 tunnel now.

Rod,

I have another one on the way from Charles in a couple weeks. You're missing out if you dont try that magnum...you will be very happy with it if you're putting some real power on it.

think I could sell the hull on Ebay?? "for sale one almost new hull with minor cosmetic damage......doesnt affect performance unless you're trying to float"

used one day ;)

Man O Man, THats got to hurt, Sorry to hear about your boat.

Who in the hell puts poles out there anyways?

Tom

Hey Kevin,

I told Charles I'd send him some customers but man, not this way....LOL

Yeah, I felt bad that yours got wrecked, bummer days. I got the new motor mount from Tim yesterday and of course my buddy forgot the Lawless so I'll go pick that up tomorrow. Hope mine is as fast as yours, especially faster when it comes to dodging sh!$#

Thanks Gene.

OUCH!!!! I wrote an artlicle on reconstructing a front sponson for a tunnel boat using foam and wood sheeting. After 39 years of model boating, I've become very proficient at repairing damaged boats, rowing, and throwing a casting ball. Oh, and also making up excuses why I do such a lousy job of finishing races ;) .

JD

Kevin

**** that hurts

If you send it back to charles he might be able to relay the sponson front for you if you didn't recover it. Same for the deck - using the JD method you could repair this as the bit that got broke isn't in the water much anyway. ;)

Pity to see a new boat get bruised this way. <_<
