:p :D Well, all i need to do now is add the hardware, most of which I have, & the rest is on order :D

It should be ready & tested before the fun run.

BTW, the flames are stickers from on old 57 chevy model car kit. I happen to have them , but I don't remember what happened to the model, so i figured i would put them to good use :p

What a coincidence! I've been downstairs part of the night putting a tub together! I started on one Friday but had problems with the epoxy and not watching what I was doing. I have the hardware and other parts that are coming out of #1, the motor but I'll steal the radio out of the RC 10-GT for now. The experimental motor mounts are on order and I'm going to need another Mac pipe as the other 2 are on the monos.

Oh yeah, I was messing with the hot wire foam cutter again tonight learning the nuances of it plus experimenting with 3 types of foam that I have.

Looks nice Wade. I thought that water is supposed to be blue?  :D

sounds like there will be a lot of :cough: virgin :cough: boats at teh fun run this time

Well, I am about 98 % done now, I have all the hardware installed, just got done balancing the prop. Here is the problem.... I have misplaced the fuel cell hatch cover!! it has to be around somewhere. Once I find that, & build a stand, I am ready to go. (At least with this one, still have 2 more to finish up.)

If you can't find it, let me know and I can send you another one. I do have a few spare parts now. I do have one made from carbon fiber also.

Looks good wade,

Would like to see pics of the finished product.

LMAO Is this the very same boat as last years june fun run? That was tougher and just sanded? Must be the epoxy that takes to dry so long.

Tom

Hey Tom, nope, that boat went to Japan to Hammer. This is the kit that replaced it. I satrted this one shortly after christmas. :D

oh, as soon as i find the hatch cover, i'll post a pic of it completed.

If you'd like all 3 covers done up in CF just say the word. It takes me just a few minutes to make them up.

Ron, I'll keep that in mind. I found a piece of scrap that i can make a new one out of, so i'm going to get busy on that .

Hey!

That looks a lot better on the 17" screen vs. my cell phone's screen.

I got a new NS5 .12 and all the parts in order to build the HH.12 version 3.

It will be a hot one, I promise.

Can't wait to see some vids of this boat.

Hammer

Marty, we'll have to see if we can get a video for you of 2 HH .12's running at the same time!

Nope! No damage at all. I blew it out and was back in the water in 5 minutes.

That video was taken about 2 months ago. That boat is long gone. I sold it so I could start building version 3.

Version 3 will be carbon. Using the balsa plug, carbon and surgical glove method????What are you talking about Hammer!?!?!?

Well, Make a plug out of balsa, cover it with Saran Wrap, lay some carbon over it soaked with resin, then stretch a sheet of surgical glove material over it. After you do that, massage the excess resin and air out. I used this method on the cowl for my .21. Worked beautiful.

another view oh, & yes i know that i will get more speed from a different pipe. I have a mac .10-.15 nitro pipe for it for speed, but I just really like the looks of this one!! :D
