It goes back about a year ago, Tim and I do the cluster emails thing, I will bounce a idea his way, he bounces one back and so on. I said something about the cold and snow here at my place, And he fired back with its summertime here mate, might go out and get a tan!!!!

Turtles are not so much of a problem here, I have never hit one or heard of one being hit. Bouys and dead boats are another story....

Down under, you don't worry so much about the turtles, alright. It's the occasional duck billed platopuss (spell , or the hungry crocodile that has an appetite for long pointy objects that swim really fast and make a lot of noise. (KC X Mono)

This lesser god humbly thanks you for the welcome!

We do have turtles down here, but not where we go boating. Platypus (I am not sure of the spelling either!) are pretty rare and I dont think I have ever seen one! Crocs aren't a problem down in the cooler southern regions of Aus where I run. Actually we have to herd good old ducks and black swans off our course in Adelaide sometimes! Ducks have no fear of model boats.....

ducks are the pidgeons of the water- incredibly stupid, eternally hungry, and always in the wrong place!!

at Lake Mayer in Savannah, GA [where my grandma lives] they've got a great place for boats, and i wondered why i didnt see anyone making roostertails on a Saturday afternoon....they also have a huge rc monster truck course complete with announcer's box, bleachers, and pit tables, but it was empty- my cousin told me that they had to shut down the course and people stopped driving boats on the lake because there was so much duck "waste" all over the place!!

imagine telling all the people in your club that the races were postponed indefinitely because the ducks couldnt find a better john!! ;D ;D
