making some progress. I got some angled mounts,.. carb clears boom tubes now.. got the needle mounted,.. going to glass in the stuffing tube tonight.. TF looks pretty cool.

Any recommendations on holding down this fuel tank? It's a plastic tank.. no place to really use rubber bands..

I see you have wood cutouts in the fuel bay, bend two small music wire hooks & glass them flush inside the cutouts & you can use rubber bands...put the rubber bands on & pull up on the rubber bands & slide the tank under the rubber bands & your good to go...that is how I do it. Nice looking model Anthony.

Thx for the good words. I'm pretty proud of it. I designed the boat with some jae influence. It's my first 40 rigger design or build. I'm not sure i understand what your telling me. Got any pics. Sounds like a good plan though. Glass in some hooks

Your Welcome! Here is a picture of the music wire bend...use epoxy & cloth to glue inside the cutouts flush..you will need to bend the hook head off the wood tub sides a little so you can get the rubber bands on....make all your bends & hand fit...if you like then glue them in... Hope this helps alittle.100_0581.jpg

I always put a dense foam on the sides of my tanks. Doing it for years and have yet to have one fall out. Got to make sure its in there nice and snug.

Another hook idea is use small picture hanging hooks. Some minor mods and there ready. Plus there flat.

I have got 8 bushings. I think they will work but the boat is at the paint guys... If they do work I am sending you 4 of them. I will improvise on a cowl unless you want me to try one of the ones you have.

I will send you one,.. these are not at my house yet.. these are also prototype PC off a wooden vacuum form tool.. so not perfect.. but hey,.. it's a prototype anyway.,.

I'm in Nashville till Friday.. I can probably send it on Monday.

a very simple way of holding the tank in is to use silicone, two round spots on the bottom of the tank, it will hold the tank and make it easy to remove when needed. you can also use 4200 sealant, a little stronger.

Mine has been all set up,.. then torn down to seal and paint. going to paint it maybe Sunday. Shooting for next weekend to get it in the water.. then start the build on my new sp21 design!!!! I have big plans for that new sp21 design!!!

Should be ok with either one.. I just ordered a bag of the ones from Mcmaster.. just in case. ($5). I don't want to be waiting around on a grommet and cant run the new boat!!!1

PROGRESS!!! getting there.. hopefully have things ready to go this weekend.. finally learned to set a timer between my paint coats..,.. nailed it!!!

Y2K clear,.. a little pricey,.. but damn good shizzle... White cowl done too,. but still need to be trimmed..

OH,.. and my little visitor to my back deck last night.. pretty much made me yell like a girl when walked almost face to face with him.. Notice the precision in in the spacing of him web,.. little is a master of his craft!
