Ac nitro cat.

Got this boat in a lot of stuff. Trying to figure out what it’s worth? It’s been sitting a long time (it has 75 mhz receiver) but turns over nice. Motor has a “p” stamped on the side but no other identifying marks. I’m not really interested in nitro stuff so looking to sell it. Should I part it out or sell complete?

Engine is a picco .67, .80, or .90.
If you decide to seperate and sell, I would be interested in buying the motor, carb, pipe setup.

Not sure if I want to part it out just yet. Unfortunately I don't have any fuel or starting equipment to get it running and try it out.

Is it worth trying to put a gas motor in it?

i believe that is a ac model boats out of canada?, very high quality hull with great finish work. measure the length of the hull, i think its about 40'' and kind of small for a gas motor but not impossible, would be very fast but a drivers boat. most cats are around 42 to 44'' long. if you do put a gas motor in it dont be afraid to add some weight to calm it down. some racers here on site can get you in the ballpark as far as c/g goes. nice boat, good luck and keep us posted

I had a 67 picco in a sprint cat great boat fast and handles great ran around 60 mph used a 457 or 460 prop

It is an AC nitro cat. Length of the hull is 36 inches.

Is it too short for a gas motor?

If your intentions are to heat race against other gas Catamarans, you would be at a disadvantage with a hull that small.

The bigger the boats the more turbulent the race water is. Your hull would have to withstand the same race water condition’s the lsg boats do.

Your boat would preform better with the 67 nitro engine then gas engine.
Gas engine’s turn way bigger props than nitro engine’s, the torque steer, and roll would be in predictable.

The last thing your club members want to race there boat with is an unpredictable projectile smashing into there boat.

It might be a good SAW boat. It would definitely be a good fun boat project with a gas motor.

a 36'' hull with a gas motor!, well the saw guys do it but it would be a handfull at wot. maybe trade it for a bigger cat?. like roxyflash said, great boat with a 67 nitro motor

Thanks for all the replies. I am leaning towards getting rid of the whole thing. I am more interested in tunnels anyway. I just have no idea if this is worth much? If anybody has a gas tunnel they are looking to part with I could be interested.
