I finally got to run an A/A engine myself this weekend at the Calgary race. They had a winter storm on Thursday which covered Southern Alberta and Montana with heavy snowfall. Some roads in Montana are still closed.
There was a strong, cold wind, and the water was rough. But, I finally ran a boat with an A/A engine. I ran a Seaducer with the A/A 21 SLS.
The water and air were so cold that I had to pinch the water line in order to keep the engine warm enough to run smoothly. The first run, with a rich setting, the boat went out, ran a few laps and came back. Considering the water conditions, I was happy. I got in several runs but the water conditions stayed poor all day.
I'll try again at the Edmonton race in two weeks. Hopefully, it won't be so cold and windy.
