27 Mhz Tx Modules

Guys,

Anyone know where I can lay my hands on 2 Tx Modules to suit JR R1 radios? They must be 27Mhz (FM). I have ordered 1 from Stormer Hobbies, but am having no success tracking another 2. I need for the NAMBA nats coming up soon. By the by, I need them shipped to Australia.

Thanks for that. Unfortunately, we have had to make the hard decision not to attend Finley (purely due to $$$ on my part). I am really quite bummed about it, but with the US trip looming and me not having sold the 300ZX yet.. it just ain't do-able. I was really looking forward to the X Mono class racing again. Anyway, I hope you guys all have an absolute ball! The SRMPBC will put on another excellent event (and loads of dancing in the wee hours!) I'm sure. I am looking forward to a FULL report on all activities undertaken for the weekend.

yep, Model Flight have them, but want $158 AU for them + tx crystal. The ones I got from the US were $58 USD .... I'm just a cheapskate at heart!! The modelflight ones will be the fallback position if required.

Thanks mate, but the futaba tx modules won't fit/aren't compatible. Also thanks for the offer of the radios, but I have already ordered 4 rx's to suit the JR, and they aren't compatible with the futaba. We have sourced 1 module, so if worst comes to worst, we will go with 1 and get another over there or go the Model Flight route.

As regards the weekend, yep, decision has been made. But there is a problem(sort of), the Club day is on the Sunday. Now I know that you guys won't be keen to mix it up on that day, but if you want to come up/down there is still Saturday and Monday. Hotel Jones is open for business of course!

Horizon Hobby is the JR distributor in the states but I couldn't find it for the life of me on thier web site, maybe an email might turn one up?

How many boats are you taking? I have a 75 mhz module and 1 PCM and 1 FM reciever I could loan you. At least that would let you run in the same class for 2 heats.

Tim, I haven't sent mine in yet so we will see, no problem though, worse comes to worse I will order some more crystals, I have a good local source. I think I might only be running 2 boats as well. B)

Yep, I contacted Horizon, they came back and said basically that they won't ship to Aus, because Model Flight is the JR dealer here. Fair enough I guess.

I will give Jeff a call, thanks for the number. Also, thanks for the offer of the radio mate, but I think we should be right now, the 4 rx's and 1 tx module turned up today (but got stung with duty!).

Wow, thats 3 sets I've been offered now. What a great bunch of guys Aussie boaters are! Really makes me proud when so many people are willing to help out a fellow boater.

Sanctioning is granted for the NSW Titles for the 27th, 28th and 29th August (you guys were the first for that month).

No worries, good to see your set.

On the Duty thing, if you class them type "6" toy parts then there is no duty, most times they get classed "1" by UPS from the states. You might still be able to call the tax office and get a refund.
