Friends I had Scott build me a pipe for the Nova 21DD and recently got out to test it. It works awesome! This video is with one of my old completely stock backup motors with stock head and stock carb. The boat is my carbon Raptor, fuel 60% PowerMaster, 1650 with added pitch and cup, and #6 nova plug. As you can see it takes about 3 inches to by fully on the pipe after I squeeze the trigger after launch! This pipe likes more fuel and more load than other pipes. I will reduce the head volume, add pitch and richen the needle.

I hope the link to the video works!

I love it when a 20 hydro pipe starts that Tarzan yell.Gotta get me a pipe like that

Hi Glenn very nice video, do you by chance have any flow #s for the stockDD Borris IV flow meter. I have a stock DD with 60% punch that I hope to run this weekend. Thanks tim

Hey Tim I don't have a Boris meter. Just run it really rich and take your time breaking it in! I just broke in a new one and I ran at least 17 tanks through it before I wanted to run it kinda hard. It still has the original plug.

Oh yeah I would be really careful with breaking in these motors with the Punch fuel.

Hi Glenn, I ran the Punch fuel in my Beta and the piston and head were the best I've seen, do you not like the lube/ thanks Tim

I believe it is a lower oil content,,, so you can burn more nitro/ run it richer

I should add better oil package as well. Can't wait to run some punch fuel!!

Tim, I have not had the chance to run any Punch personnaly and I know Steve and Jack make quality products, I have just had a couple folks tell me about sticking pistons when the motors are still tight. I don't know anything about the oil package in the Punch fuel and I would never say anything bad about it. Just trying to pass on some info that may help. I am a big believer in castor and I know that Nova recommends it in their motors.

I have ran it no problems burns clean.i always place piston at the bottom of the sleeve.

Thanks Ken for the info, I have noticed that the NR, 21/45 are very tight on the top end. I will follow your suggestion concerning keeping the piston at BDC when starting. We used the Punch fuel at the Fall nats in SC, when I tore my motors down I was quite surprised to see how clean everything was. Tim

Not just for starting at all time even after a run or after cleaning keep piston bdc
