The 2016 World OB Tunnel Championships, hosted by the Charleston Model Boaters, dates of Friday April 29th through Sunday, May 1st, is now open for entries on rcracingevents. We hope that many of you tunnel heads will come to the largest OB tunnel race held anywhere.

Before you enter, ensure you read all of the race details. There are 2 changes for this coming race as requested by some racers. These changes are:

1. The E Tunnel and F Tunnel classes have been split for the race as requested for the race. There is belief that each class can meet the 5 entry minimum by the deadline date of April 10th. If it does not happen, then the 2 classes will be combined as we have done the past 6+ years. Support the classes so they each can run.

2. District 13 leadership group has examined the FE classes that are run within the district. They have examined the FE P Limited classes and what NAMBA rules exist for them also. They have requested some rule refinements. The ESC restrictions previously imposed have been lifted. They have also refined the approved motors for the class. Look closely at the race details for the approved motors. These changes are in effect for the District 13 Grand Prix series races for 2016.

Unless you have made some prior arrangements with me for payment, Paypal payments are required upon entering. Please adhere to this requirement.

If you have not yet renewed your IMPBA 2016 membership you have 2.5 months before the race to get it done. Please do not wait until the race, it increases the administrative burden to the club before and after the race. You have more than adequate time to get it done now.

Motel and driving information is attached.
