40 Racers / 234 Boats !!

OK all you FE Racers, the deadline is next Wednesday, May25th for entering this years NAMBA FE Nationals !

Due to getting the race program together and the fact that we have held out this long on the actual date, this deadline is firm. So please get registered this weekend if you still plan on attending but have not signed up yet !

Also if you have entered and there are any class changes additions or subtractions please let us know. If for any reason you do not plan on attending, again please let us know. Your help is greatly appreciated as we would like to have the heat schedules as accurate as possible for the event.

The club is almost prepared. Trophies, Shirts, Drivers Stand, Main Generator, the videographer, banners sponsors, donation prizes, Race CD's, rescue boats, food, Tech Committee, tables , Tents ........are almost in place !!

Wow I'm tired just listing all these things that have had to be completed for this big event.

It will be great seeing old friends and new ones. This should be very fun and enjoyable for all who attend. If you are hesitant because you have never entered a Nat's before don't be. There are plenty signed up attending there first, and the veterans will surely help you how ever they can. We will all make you feel most welcomed and glad you chose to give it a try.

Well enough words now I must get all my boats ready for those 20 classes !!

Hope to see everyone there, :D

Wow what a race and the coma that followed was longer that I had expected !

I need to thank all of you that participated in the event and shared the racing with our club at our home pond site. You were all gentlemen and made this race a big success.

Congratulations to Jason Sims and Doug Twaits this years co-High Point Winners !

Congratulations to Mr Offshore Mike Paganelli

With great respect for the Rum Runner Racing Team, Congratulations to this year's team winners "The Wave Blasters of Florida"

Jason Sims, Terry Cowger Jr., & Ken Haines

We finally did it after 3 long years of trying.

I'm sure Team Rum Runner will be better than even next year!

I definetely need to thank our club and all the many sponsors.

I will start with the main sponsors;

Steve Vaccaro (Offshore Electrics) Thanks so much again for all your continued support to our hobby and the FE Nationals. We all enjoyed racing with your sons too who become quite the racers and are improving each year.

Don Wollard (Rum Runner Racing) Thanks again for always being there for our club, you have helped us in so many ways over the past 5 years we just can't thank you enough.

(Little unknow secret Don is a Wave Blaster member too !!)

Doug Twaits (Rum Runner Hobbies) Thanks for the support and especially just coming and racing. When you come to the Nationals you really do elevate the race just by being there. You are a truly great competator. (You are really a big deal around here !! Sorry Pags made me add that !)

Mike Pags (Bubblegum Racing) Mike your generousity really helped make the race possible. Steppinh up to sponsor the drivers stand, the Mr Offshore award & the BAR-B-Q are things that really made the event.

Thanks also to my company Florida Power & Light for being the "Green Energy Sponsor" and making the video taping of the race a reality. This video will be edited over the next few weeks and when it is available you can all view the race just as if you were all there. Thanks-Amy Brunjes (FPL) and Mike Whitney the Videographer.

All of these Companies and individuals stepped up to sponsor classes, please

remember them when you make your next purchase and if you run into these individual sponsors please give them a personal thanks as well. The only way that these events work and are able to provide the great facilities and extra ammenities at each year's Nationals is with sponsor support. Thanks again to all.

Ok now certainly last but not least, I owe a huge thank you to all of my club "The Wave Blasters" and especially to those who helped selflessly make this race and all the activities happen.

Terry Cowger Sr, Rick Workman, Carl Slater, Ron Desmond, Jerry Morton, Bob Rahberg, Frank Patterson, Terry Cowger Jr., Nicole Caldogno, Mike Martin, Bill Tripp, Phil Hale, Jeff Mainville, Paul Mainville, Bob Meinhardt, Caleb Gillen, Colin Campbell, & Richie Lind.

I would also like to thank all our newest 2011 Wave Blasters that helped our club through a very trying time:

Don Wollard, Jason Sims, Reed Eagle, Jeff Westbrook, Hugh Ebner, Mike Harvey, Ray Rankle, & Steve Voepel. Without their help earlier this year we likely would have never even had the Nat's race at all. Thanks to you all.

A special big thanks to our 2 CD's Terry Cowger Sr.and Mike Martin, they both did a great job.

Thanks to our special score keeper Jason Sims....Jason I wished I could have helped you more, and I really appreciate you taking charge of the Team & High Points scoring, that gave me a big break and he even spotted for me about 100 times ! You a true friend and a really great team-mate. Oh and Dougie, Mike, and Don, please don't try to steal him away !!! lol

Thanks also to Bill Britton of RC Racing Events.com who lent us space on his registration site and worked with Nicole Caldogno to provide all of the scoring.

I must also say Nicole was terrific doing all the scoring too she even put Pags in his place a few times !! lol

I did save the best for last;

Thanks You Mary Workman for your tireless support and help. Your work with the raffle saved the event financially. Mary and Rick even provided 24 hour security by staying on-site in their RV to protect our equipment each night.

OK...Ok this email is so long I'm getting exhausted all over again.

I really tried not to miss anyone. If I did, I'm truely sorry, and please understand we thank all of you. :yeah:

Sincerely, Ken Haines &
