Ok boys and girls I spoke to Kevin Sheren and all the kinks are worked out, the 2010 IMPBA Internats is now full speed ahead. Many thanks to the Performance Model Boat Club for hosting this event and all information and entry form can be found at the PMBC website-

I look forward to seeing everyone who can make it this year, should be good time!! B)

Good Deal, look's like I have a 2 day break for my classes but great!!, Thanks to all the IMPBA officer's for getting it worked out!! Mike I will get the other 40 to you asap!!..Corey

Guys,

One question. Do you have to buy a banquet ticket ($40) if you do not/cannot remain until the banquet on Saturday? I know the US-1 competition will be forfeited however it may be the case for some.

That why I still owe 40.00, I misunderstod 40.00 is the flat entry fee then 15.00 for each boat UNless your running novice your entry includes the 1 banquet ticket! 15.00 for additional ticket to banquet!!

Great job guys to all involved, especially Mike and the PMBC for stepping up to host it. :D

"US-1 Classes: there will be a 24 boat max limit with the top 5 boats or 20% of class will qualify for the Trophy Trials. Max allowed entries for some classes maybe raised in the weeks before entry cutoff."

"A minimum of eight boats are required by May 31st to make the US-1 class. If the class does not fill, it will drop from its running spot and that classes 24 spots will be opened up in other US-1 classes where needed."

We needed a change and I think you'll see this format or something close to it for many years to come. :)

You know I'll help out any way I can...

ps: That 8 boat min to make a US1 class needs to be our Rule Book somewhere.

The banquet ticket is not $40, just part of it. Read the info again- that $40 is the ENTRY fee and that also covers one event T shirt as well.

Don,

I noted that on both points. However, each boat entered also has a fee. So there is an entry fee for the race and then boat fees. Not criticizing, just trying to understand how this all works.

John,

There is an event entry fee (that includes your attending the event, One (1) banquet ticket and one (1) T-shirt

Then there is per class boat fees. (an amount of money per class)

IF" you want an extra banquet ticket you can purchase when you send all this in.. and if you want an extra shirt that can be done now too.

IF" you make it to US-1 you will also pay a fee to participate.. that fee is NOT taken up front.

If you enter and the class doesnt make the min. and gets droped do get you money back

Yes
Its called a registration fee to help pay for the event, been going on a long time. Without this fee this race would be a huge loser, many things are 4-5 times the regular weekend cost trash jons trophies on and on. You could sell your banquet ticket but youd only get 15 bucks at best...

Racers,

Thanks Don, Tony, Grim, Mike and all for helping out with questions. Here at PMBC, we're getting the ball rolling again. Don't get me wrong, we never gave up, just not quite sure what path we we're taking to get there. Everything is settled now, and it's water over the dam, so lets all get back to having the best race in 2010. I have been working on our web site www.performancemodelboatclub.com and will try to keep it updated with important information. If you have any questions or needs, send me an e-mail at [email protected] , and I'll try to get you an answer as quick a possible.

Best advise I can give you all, is to get your entries in ASAP.

Watch for the new IMPBA Roostertails, for more information.

On site camping (full hookup to primitive)

Many attractions in the area (Rock Roll Hall of Fame, Ceder Point, Football Hall of Fame, Horse Racing)

Good Hotels minutes from the site. (hope to work a special price)

See you in July,

PMBC

Great Mike!

Hey, I'm in!

Looking forward to another great event from Mike and the gang. :)

Get those entries in guys!

Racers,

Check our web site www.performancemodelboatclub.com as it's updated weekly for information (drivers, specials, sponsors, US-1 classes as the meet the minimum 8 entries, and other information). For people making hotel reservations I just got off the phone with the owner of the Comfort Inn (host hotel) and the Super 8, (closest hotel). Comfort Inn 64.99 and Super 8 54.99 for any of the PMBC events (Buckeye 880, International Regatta, Thunder) tell them your reservation is for a PMBC event. This info will go on our web site tomorrow, due to being at the FD today.

Hope to see you soon.

Get your entries in.

Mike
