I can not find who will be hosting the 2008 and 2009 Internats as well as the dates. I checked the IMPBA web page,it's not there ,or I just can't find it. Can anyone tell me where and when these events will be held? I am used to NAMBA where we know two years in advance where our title event will be held. I would like to start planning my 2009 race season and had hoped to attend the Internats after the 2009 NAMBA Nationals.

Eric, You hoping for one of those U.S. 1 titles. I here they are hard to come by. It would be fun to plan ahead for the IMPBA event but there always seems to be short notice.

Do you think you can talk Mark into going with you? I am sure with the two of you, you could make quit a run at a Title.

US-1? Hmm hadn't even though of that Robert, those are very hard to get. I was just thinking about getting to play with other Sport 40s I had not had a chance to play with yet. Mark has been busy with his IMAC and Pylon racing these days. He doesn't even own a Sport 40 right now but maybe by the 2009 Internats we can scrape a couple of hulls together, if I can get him away from the flying field long enough to run a boat. If not I just thought it would be fun to race with other Sport Hydro enthusiasts. Been hoping to encourage a little more cross over between NAMBA and IMPBA.

Well if it is close enough to my "Neck of the woods" maybe I will join you in doing a little cross over racing. I would learn a thing or two or three. I am sure that the IMPBA crew would welcome us. It would be good to race in a new place and meet fellow boating enthusiast.

Do you have a new Sport in mind or will you run the same boat?

Robert

By the way, all IMPBA boaters are welcome to our 2008 NAMBA Nationals here in Colorado. $10.00 buys you single event insurance and your legal to race.

So those of you not attending the IMPBA Internats are welcome here. July 12-19, 2008 Greeley, Colorado www.2008nambanats.com

It's not a US1 title but it is racing.

Now that I what it is all about! ...cross over between both orgs....that is AWESOME! I did this in car racing and when you go to another org and try it out, it is way cool! Just because one is different from the other does not mean it is bad. There is a lot of good in BOTH. Until you experience both like I have in the short time of boat racing, you will know what I mean.

This is way cool guys....if you can attend an event that you "normally" do not belong to, I can almost guarantee you will have a great time!
