LAMARYou should consider the following, and maybe clarify if needed. If the race is in accordance with IMPBA rules, then a Twin rigger is a legal F Hydro as long as the IMPBA max engine dispalcement is not exceeded. Therefore the same boat can race in F Hydro and Twin Hydro. If the intent is different then please clarify. This issue was a problem in another race that I attended. I can provide details if needed.

The intent is too add an additional class, not to replace or alter the F Hydro class in any way. If you want to run the same boat in both classes then by all means please do so. I am sure the fuel manufacturers would appreciate it!
If you plan on running the same boat in both classes I would suggest adding a little note with your entry form stating that you are doing so and to please keep you on the same frequency in both classes if at all possible.
Lamar,
With that in mind, would suggest that the heats for the F hydro and the twin hydro classes be at least 4 or 5 heats apart. If a racer wants to run a twin in both classes, they would need adequate turn around time to service the boat before the next heat. If they are bunched together then the running of both classes would be adversely impacted. And being apart it will bring a better show for all of us attending. Throw some gas, scale, tunnel or offshore classes in between them.

We run into this same issue with our gas monos. We can run LSG 23-30 and Open LSG w/ the same boat. I always include a little note w/ my entry form. Most of the time I get lucky and get the same frequency in both classes. If not, I have the option of changing crystals in between heats or scratching one class. I personally do not like changing crystals between heats so I wil just scratch one or the other. Just a personal preference.
Hope this all makes sense.
Later,
Lamar
