Well if there is an interest in them I may make a few Carbon Fibre ones up...

I certainly will be making one and probably running a 90 in it...

Then again the 67 did go hard... hmmmm decisions decisions... LOL

EMS Racing I used to be indecisive but now I am not sure...

Craig,

If the price is not too silly, put me down for one! I would like to play just for old times sake! And see how one would go with a modern motor and props.... 8)

Haven't seen a canard for many a year!

Had another Sydneysider tell me via email he is interested in a .12 rigger too. He Wants to stay anonymous for some reason.... Might have the numbers for a new class here.

Hmmm seems like a few 12 riggers on the way....

hey as I said I will probably get involved but only in a 'sportish' type.. if it looks like everyone is buying novarossi etc I may not be all that interested.. just looking for a cheap runabout..

EMS Racing yes it is me talking about having a lack of performance..

Why not limit the class to side exhaust .12's to keep the Mega - dollar motor's out of it? We are starting from scratch here so why not set the rules in place first before people start buying motors.

here is my 2cents on the mega bucks rb engines.... i had the super duper roedy modified c4 .21 engine...... it SUCKED! modified/designed for cars dont work in boats!

stick with a more basic car engine...... if necessary modify it for boat use....

just my .02

Hey Mike,

Nice looking rigger! Tell us about it. How long is it, what's it weigh, what kind of motor, Did you scratch build it, etc.

Don

Hi Don

I got the kit off e-bay last year for $25.00. It is a electric kit out of Canada (Blizzard) The engine is a Tower 15 engine ( comes with muffler for about $100) final weight (dry) with std servos ,small battery pack is 2lbs 4 1/2 oz. 24" long, 14.5" wide. 4 oz tank.

Mike

Mike,

I'm familiar with the blizzard kit. I was going to build a 12 cell rigger until I added up the costs of the new brushless engines and ESC's.

They get real expensive very quick for 4 min. of run time!

You put together a really nice boat for that kind of money. That's why I bought an OS for the 12 I scratch built. Not very expensive, dependable and parts are easy to get. I'm not satisfied with the first boat so I'm in the building stages of a second boat now and having a ball. If I ever go back to competition again it will be with a .67.

How's your boat run? Does it get up out of the water pretty easily?

Don

The boat runs very well, and is very easy to launch, steps right on top. I have not measured the speed. Have you seen the new rigger from Fuller electric, Looks like it would make a great .12

Mike

hey mike.... cut the skeg off the bottom of that strut for a little more speed...

the fullers rigger looks like a saw rigger....
