You might be right Kez, somebody must've figured out that at those small sizes, scale offshore boats don't run that great. But still, I would expect more 80's kids to be building them anyway.
I actually have a Dumas Scarab 45 (not the 40). It's pretty cool looking, but not as good and scale...
Hi Michael, I'm aware of the Challenger and the Titan. However, unlike their larger counterparts, they are not as nicely scaled. The Challenger and Titan are much wider than scale. You can easily notice when you sit it beside a larger one, or one of the Apaches.
Back in the day I remember one...
Tom... I want it. It's probably real late right now where you are but I'll contact you tomorrow. I don't see the throttle cable clamp in the pics but I suppose you have that. Any of the accessories, paperwork and other goodies that come with the motor would be great too if you have them. -Danny
Hi Tom, I really want the engine. I'm going to build a VS1. I'm getting back into the hobby after 17 years and I'm a little queasy about buying used because I want my experience of getting back into the hobby not to be riddled with repairs. I was just about to pull the trigger on a new one when...
It's nice to see you guys in the DR considering this sort of topic. I kind of wish the guys in Puerto Rico were a little more concerned about this subject. In all aspects of environmentalism, I mean - I'm not just talking about nitro and boats.
If the other guys pass, please send me a pic to [email protected] - Any guess on how many tanks did Mark run through it? I'm about to buy a new air-cooled one, but this might be a good savings opportunity. -Danny
Hi Baxter, I just got back into this and I was surprised to find no nitro in my area either. Still, I'm talking to some friends to get a few of our own nitro boats running. At least race against ourselves.
The horror is that I have to build my freaking boat already. I'm spending too much time on forums :) , plus 16 hours a day working and no water time yet. August needs to be over NOW so I can finally have time to build my boat. :D
I just got back into the hobby and bought a K&B 3.5, OB, black carb off eBay. It was listed as new, never run, never fueled. Looked good in photos. However, when I received it and I took it out of the box, the skeg fell off! I then noticed it had been epoxied on at some point and painted over...
Miguel, you are helping me by asking questions that I have as well. GRACIAS! :)
You guys mentioned that Hitech steering servo. What would be a Futaba equivalent?
