    6S LiPo Hydro prop suggestions

yep, using a H4 prop, I am seeing currents of about 135-140A average..... too high for my 6S1P packs. And the boat was a lot slower. A lose-lose proposition. I will be trying some other stuff today, but ultimately I think it may get changed out.

    6S LiPo Hydro prop suggestions

the rigger has had a motor transplant, due to the motor being used in a mono. I have squeezed a KB458XL 1700KV motor in. Ran it today for the first time....hmm I have a lot of work to do here. Looks like I may change back to a neu 1521 1Y motor.

    33" 6S Seaducer in Oz

Hi guys... I didn't want to hijack the other seaducer thread any futher than I already have, hence the new one. Just wanted to let you guys know the progress on this setup so far... Ran today and finally got the radar on the boat. Looking at about 53 MPH. I think there is still a bit left in...

Best ESC for 9S+ LiPO 100A? Powering 63" Riva

Hannu... are you looking for scale speeds? And I am presuming that you will be running at part throttle for large durations? This could be where you are coming undone in this application. Maybe a DC setup would be more suited to this application?

    FE set-up for a 12 rigger

Zach... there are always lots of different ways to skin a cat. Likewise with electric boats. Check back on the RRR thread, there is some good info there now. Tony

    FE set-up for a 12 rigger

Zach... motor's are a whole issue by themselves. It really depends on how much cash you wish to spend. Neu motors are great for going fast, but are expensive. Hackers and similar are mid-range pricing and then you can go the lower priced versions like fiegos etc.. Probably the best way to work...

    FE set-up for a 12 rigger

Zach.. 26" boat would be a little short for a 4S setup (it would ge very squirrely at speed) IMO. I believe you need about another 6" to be suitable for 4S Fast setup. But to help you anyway, here are some ThunderPower LiPo pack sizes: 4S 3300X - 45x140x27 (metric) WidthxLengthxThickness 4S...

    FE set-up for a 12 rigger

Hi Zach... We actually need some measurements before suggestions can be made (ie length of hull etc...). Now a 12Cell boat (NiMh) is roughly equivalent to a 4S LiPo ( 4 cells in series - gives 14.8V). And depending on weights/power train/design etc... could see speeds of 60 MPH +

    Software

possibly.... The AMPBA currently has a program that goes from the entry stage, through frequency conflict detection, heat drawing, heat running (with automated lap-counting system) and points processing to final position output. Plus I know of another that has similar functionality, with...

There is some great software development going on in Australia for Race Management Programs. I must also mention Ron Byrd's Race Manager software, it is really good to use, just wish you could enter heat times too.

    Handling issues

Guys, thanks for the input... Aaron... the servo is a high torque Hextronic unit... should be bags of grunt there (but I will try a change if everything else fails). Rhomodel.... yes, will be trying the method Anthony suggested. Chris.... as stated, turnfin is 2mm T6 Aluminium. Plenty stiff...

    Handling issues

Anthony, thanks mate, the boat is a scratchbuilt. I am using a 6S1P Lipo setup with a Neu motor and CC 180A ESC. Ta for the hints, I will try what you suggested. I am also going to change the design so that the turn fin is not a 1 peice unit, but rather mounts to a strut off the sponson. Makes...
