    Servo shopping

Thanks Grim, I was hoping to hear something positive . Radio will be a Futaba on 2.4 and would like to stay with the 5 cell hump battery packs for now. I believe I did read a thread about using non-regulated 6.6 life batteries not long ago and it was not the best choice for everyone.

Looking for some honest opinions on 1/8 scale servos. I would like to use the Airtonics 94851 MG digital on steering and the Futaba 3102 micro MG analog on the throttle. Both servos will be brand new and mix will be controlled with the 9B manual needle. Let me know what you think. Thanks, Glenn

    Rules for servo types

Metal, Never go into combat without it . Last month I sent a P.M. to Bill Brant(All RC on this forum). He was selling a couple different brands of servos(he is a dealer), I asked what was the best- not the cheapest. He recommended the Airtronics 94851 MG to replace my ageing 94358 MG Analog...

    rudder servo

Right now I'm using the HT 645 MG but plan on trying one of the new Airtronics 192 Oz. Digital MG Std. size servos. #94851. Could be overkill but better to be the hammer than the nail. Bill Brant is a dealer(all rc) on this site.

    Power surge in turns?

I've only seen that happen once Scott and it was kind of a freak thing. The Cal Craft stuffed pretty hard and displayed the same behavior. Speed up in the turns and slow on the straights. When she dunked the wood screws holding the radio box in place(fore and aft) bent and would allow the radio...

Scott, The Virginia Craftsman fin and Speed Master hardware and strut are fine items to the best of my knowledge but rudders and props may vary depending on the brand of hull.
