Yeah I'm at it again. After questioning current size of sport 40 I got my butt in gear and did some work

The 2nd build in as many years this should be a blast

Boat is 39" long by 20" it coming together nice.... Look out rough water this should eat you up

after complaining about the current size of sport 40 here is my almost finished bigger 39.5x 21.250 sport 40....really enjoyed this project can't wait to see how it performs....cheers lots of elbow grease went into that cowl

Looks real nice there,,,

I keep putting off making a plug for a sport-20 cowling,, Plan to do it the same way.

Hope the boat runs as good as it looks,, keep us posted.

did you stretch a Whip? I like the cowl

yes i did, but the it's the gen 1 40 whip you can tell by the sponson bottom in the pic with the framing square. once I see how this one runs I may do another with the Gen2 bottom or maybe a bottom like the backlash stay tuned. any input on how to do the cowl plug would be great I really don't want to mess up this one. it's a lot of work

make a plaster casting if you want to just do a couple cowls

i do want to make a few of them this way when i build more i don't have to worry about that part of the build. could you do the same with fiber matt and resin? what kind of plaster? plaster of Paris?
