My new electric ZipKits JAE 33 FE rigger is running great after monitoring my data logger and making a few prop changes. I don't have any boat building experience so I had Mike Walker do this build for me great job

Thanks for the compliment, after a few minor set up ajustments inregards of prop torque that was making the boat track to the right I shimmed the strut approx 20 thousands to the port side now the boat tracks perfectly straight after 10 runs testing different props and monitoring the data logger on my esc inregards of temp, amp and rpm I would say it ran low 60mph. I ordered a new TP motor with a higher Kv I also have a bigger prop on order the new combination should put the boat in the mid to upper 60mph range I should recieve them by the end of the week then I will make a couple of runs if the speed and numbers are good on my esc data logger then she will be ready.

Heres what I did with my FE , the Batts are where your ESC is an the esc is in back of the motor, I found this helps in handling in rough water .

Thanks for the information sins I got the boat I've been trying to dial in the power set up after I am happy with the speed then I am going to concentrate on the handeling in and out of the turns

That is plenty of motor for high speeds. My JAE21 uses a Castle 1415/1Y and with a cupped H-7 runs 12-second laps and reaches high-70s at the end of the straights. Looks great!

Dedicated the weekend repainting and clearing my JAE 33 FE rigger originally I painted it with rust-oleum paint and clear I repainted the boat using what I know works and gives the best results "Spray Max" 2k epoxy primer, 2k white paint I finished it with 4 coats of 2k matt clear the 2k product I used has a hardener that needs to be activated before spraying. I purchased this product at "66 Auto Color" in Joplin, MI if you want quality auto paint etc in a aerosol can that holds up give them a call great customer service

Just curious, why did you choose the matte clearcoat instead of the gloss clearcoat they make? I have only used the gloss version myself and it comes out really nice.

I like the soft look after a day of drying I go over the painted/cleared surfaces lightly with a white scotch bright pad it gives the finish a smooth look with a light luster
