WTB: MAC 45 Piston & Liner

thought i had one but i must have used it in the last 6 weeks sorry about that i have a buddy that may if he does he sells them for 250 plus 5 for shipping i will ask him and see if he does have one

$250 for a MAC45 piston & sleeve?????????? :wacko:

Is this the piston & sleeve that comes with the vasoline? Man come on now, that price should be in the year of 2020

After someone sells a car to get that piston and sleeve, I have a new in box blackhead picco 45 for sale. It's not too expensive. I would let it go for $1,000,000 dollars plus shipping of course. :lol:

I remember alot of people on this forum saying that they considered alot of members like distant family. Well ask your friend if he would charge his mother for him having to call the ambulance if she was having a heart attack. I am assuming from the outrageous price, the seller of this p/l is the same friend that wanted to sell that beat to hell 67 SGX. I am not bashing you CRT MAN, but if I were you I would tell your friend next time he wants to sell stuff, to put it on here himself so you don't have to catch so much grief!

I have wondered the very same thing myself. I have a 45 CAM and RS (but no 45 HR) P/S but no MAC engine or P/S to compare it to so I cannot determine if it will fit. I strongly suspect one of them, likely the CAM or HR, will fit closely enough, that even some reporting that may have to be done, will make it work. It may not be the same as a stock MAC one but may be good enough with some work to get some MAC's off the shelf until Andy gets them made. That may be the next decade, and by then we can't afford the nitro or gas to run.

If someone can post the OD of the MAC sleeve and maybe pics of the exhaust and intake ports I be happy to check them against the CAM and RS and see what we may have.

Does the Blackhead come with a box? if so i can send you a dollar and you can send the motor. After its paid in full you can send the box LOL LOL

John, I can send you a cracked sleeve to measure and compare. I would suspect the 45 HR would be the same, but I don't know about others(RS, CAM). The stroke and bore are on hte CMDI web site.

I just checked the CMB Purple Hydro motor vs the Mac and there are a few differences between them. The major difference being bore and stroke. The Mac is a smaller bore and larger stroke. The Mac bore measures .836 and the CMB measures .859. The od of the sleeves are close, but it might have taken a hammer to get the CMB in the Mac case. The port configurations are also radicly different. The major being the intake. It's .190 wider on the CMB than the Mac. The Mac case would cover a good part of it. Boosters aren't even close and the exhaust would need serious work with a dremel.

Forget that one but am curious about the new HR also.

I just saw online that the HR has a 21.8mm bore and the Mac I measured is a 21.15mm bore
