WTB...Airtronics M8 OR M11

Ive been threatening to retire my M8's and get a M11 since they came out, but just cant let go of the M8 yet. The M8 was hands down the most widely used radio for the car guys for MANY years.

To be honest, if I try to put myself in your shoes, I would go with the M11. BUT since I already have a couple M8's...?

James, if I do find a killer deal on an M8, do you have the owner's manual that I could copy? A lot of the M8's that I'm finding have owners who did not keep their manual, and since Airtronics has discontinued the radio their website no longer provides a download for that manual. Given my lack of rc expertise, I would definitely need the manual. Please let me know. Thank you.

Yeah, I am working a couple of used M8 deals as we speak, and I also have a used M11 in sight. All are on eBay. I know the price is going to go down dramatically here pretty quickly as Airtronics is just about ready to introduce their 2.4g model, and I know a lot of the M8 and M11 users will jump on that.

I have a used M11 that you can havve for $125.00, but the only problem is it needs to be sent to airtronics to be fixed. I have already talked to them, and they told me it would cost no more than 50.00 to fix and it could be back to me in under two weeks. So there you go if you want to send it back!

Cliff, you've got my attention with that $125 offer. What exactly is broken on the radio? Did you buy it new or did you buy it used? Just trying to get an idea of how "used" it is. Where are you? I am assuming that I'm paying shipping. I'm in Southern California, 93544 to be exact. Any idea on shipping cost? Also do you have the owner's manual...and...what module is in the radio? Is it the "fixed channel" standard offering? Tell me it's the "synthesized module #93675" and this is a DONE deal! Anyway, let me know.

I don't really know what is wrong with it. I picked it up to work on one of my boats and it just didn't work. It had worked earlier that day, and then it never worked again. That is exactly what I told Airtronics repair person, and he told me that it wouldn't cost any more than 50.00 at the most. I had another m11 for back up and just haven't ever sent the other one in. But anyway, it comes with the box, instructions, 27mhz or 75mhz module, and whatever 27mhz Tx crystal you want(other than yellow or brown). So that is the deal man and if you want it, it is yours for 125.00 plus shipping which will be about 10.00 anywhere in the lower 48.

The Airtronics new 2.4 GHz will plug right into the M8, M11, Super Exzes, or Exzes Plus. So you won't see a bunch of M11s going for cheap as they can just change the RF module.
