Can the 12 boats run with the 21s? In most venues this is allowed. Just might be a way to get the 12s to show up. Its called A/B Hydro.. Kind of like E/F tunnel..

Lets say that 3 or more showed up could they run that day with out taking any prizes? Just a thought.. I know that at the lacrosse race if sport tunnel is not on the schedule and enough show up we get them together, Tie Bill to a tree and make him let us run em....Of course you have to stand behind the tree when you untie the knot.. ;) Even though he is well past the Detroit Loins days, he is still one big strong son of a gun.. Just shake his hands to get a feel of the damage he could to..

As long as IMPBA won't make a db ruling we keep having to hang some piece of junk on the end of our pipe, whether it works or not. At least with a db limit, those of us that can meet it without a muffler, would not have to run one or buy a new pipe.

Are there any .12 riggers coming to our race? We are requiring 4 boats to make a class.

I really don't think it fair to either class to run .12 riggers with 21 riggers..

Hey guys,

Where's Tom, I bet he has a .12 rigger, I'll have one. How about it guys, anyone game to show this electric racer how it's done?

Paul.

sport 20

sport 40

1/8 scale

open cat (gas/nitro)

Novice: any motor 20 or 40 size motor (possibly .12 hydro's), mono tunnel or cat and any driver never placing 1st or 2nd at an IMPBA sanctioned event. This will be the ONLY exception to the 4 boat class rule.

AND...

UNLIMITED: All boats welcome...Any class not having 4 boats will be entered in unlmiited. No novice drivers. Any boat registering in any above class MAY enter in Unlimited also, FOR HALF PRICE.

So garret does that mean if we get 4 .12's we can race them?

Mine can be there

Paul's

I know Tony Matello has one for his son.

Just 1 more I'd hate to say the "P" word could bring his as then we'd all then get our buts kicked!

Tom and other .12 drivers

We are running 15 classes, in one day. It's going to be a loooooooooong day as it is. We would be willing to let the 12's run a heat or two, time permitting. That is the best we can do at this time. Hopefully you'll come because of the other classes, and bring your 12's just for fun.

We will be looking at changing our class structure in '05, narrowing it down, for '04 we need to keep it this way.

As a club we want to foster and promote the growth of model boating, but this year we are dedicated to the classes that we chose.

Thanks for your understanding.

Hey Charlie & Garrett,

You might see a 21 WARLOCK, and maybe 3

CAL-CRAFTS, 45,90 size, show up at your race. Be ready.

See ya soon,

Mark

Hello Guys,

It's kinda funny you mention the above, the only nirto boat I'll have is a .12 rigger and the only reason I'll have it is to get started with a nitro boat on the cheap. I'm an electric guy and always will be one, tons invested in high end tech but I could see running one of these .12 riggers. At least using the .12 buggy motors you have a better chance of pulling in new blood from the nitro car guys that are familar with these engines and could drop one in a inexpensive rigger kit.

Or, I could be way off base in my thinking.

Either way I'll bring my .12 and if I have to I'll drop it in the newbie class. Even though I hold a IMPBA card I never have raced at an IMPBA race.

Paul.

Hi Paul,

We understand your dilmena.. However, there has never been a call for .12 rigger in this area. We offer as many classes as we can. We offer a novice class for new racers and racers who have not won a race in their class. We also offer an unlimited class to catch any other class that fails to meet the 4 boat minimum. A club can only run so many classes in one day and we offer a class for just about everyone.

Can't please everyone but we come darn close..

Charley

Hi Mark,

Sounds great. Can't wait to see it run. If we could get a BlackJack and Firefighter there, we would have almost every 21 rigger on the market represented.. How cool would the be!!

See ya then,

Charley

Moby Dick, Quad Cities...Doesn't he have an eagle with one of those 'new' black Macs???

Mark Sholund has a BBY, well, at least used to...(.21 shootout boat)

Seriously though, we could have a really big turn out and very high quality 20 hydro racing this year. For those of us who don't race 20 hydro, we can see what we are missing...

Garrett (got a 20 hydro that's never been wet) Randall

Oops.. I guessed I missed a few boats..

Well, we will have a number of the 20 hydro's out there..lol..

Thanks, Grim..

Charley
