Hi Ben,
Glad you enjoyed the meeting on the weekend. The boys in the Hunter Valley Model Marine Club have a great venue and always put on a fantastic event. You may not know this but there were 77 competitors at that event, making it (I beleive) the biggest meeting we have had in Australia. Not bad for a country club, shows they have their act together. Since you live up there I would suggest the second thing you do is join the club. The first thing you MUST do is get yourself a 'Wideboy' 45 Hydro.
My name is Bill Annabel, they call me Wild Bill - for some reason I am yet to learn. I was the old, fat, bald guy with the yellow 45 and Mac engine. My mate, Steve Winks, was driving the black Seducers you mentioned and a 45 Hydro. The poor fellow is not as old, not as fat and still has a bit of hair. If you saw us you will instantly know why we call our selves 'WIDEBOY RACING'.
We only make the 45 Hydro's, originally developed by Greg Hill of Arizona and myself after selflessly drinking plenty of Corona's in my garage and desinging the worlds best 45 Hydro. It has gone through a few changes over the past few years and is now in it's TG (third generation) design stage. The boat I was running is the prototype of the next model. We had some problems on the Saturday with the pipe being too short but, as you saw on Sunday, we certainlt fixed that. It really sings now.
Please contact Steve through our web page - he is soo full of it we made him the Sales Director - for more info and pricing. This new version should be ready in about 8 weeks. It is specifically designed to take full advantage of the awsome performance generated by the incredible Mac engines. I might add that we are also the Australian agents for CMDI and Mac engines. Yes, supply is a 'little' slow at the moment but I am sure this will change in the 'not so distant' future.
Please contact Steve and he will answer all your questions. We look forward to seeing you at future events and welcome you into our 'boating' family. If you need any assistance, just ask.
