wich radio 3pm or 3pk or another

hi all just after some help im looking for a new radio for my boats and buggy (7.5 kb tunnel and 80 outrigger and 1/8 buggy)

im liking the 3pm2.4 or the 3pk2.4 would these be a good choice or im open to any suggestions on others

have read alot about range troubles with spektrums dx3 so i dont really want one of these

Ive got the 3pm and can not bad mouth it one bit. Ive had it for a bout a year and its great. Either way the fasst is the best way to go champ

I just went through the whole process and the cost of 2.4 receivers fo my boats ect...

I looked at the 3pk pcm and putting a faast module in it and then 3pk fast and a couple receivers for now.

I have the several of the 3ch futaba radio's now so the 3pm was an easy choice for me due to familiarity and cost.

159.00 after the discount and free shipping.I could not bring my self to pay the 350.00 after the discount fot the 3pk and then the cost of the receivers.I know and don't let people tell you differently that they never use all the bells and whistles on the 3pk for their boats..cars sure....

I decided on the 2.4 FAAST 3pm and them bought 3 additional receivers for now .

Towers had some deals on for club members and free shipping as well.I made it very hard not to switch now .

I was in the market as well.

Get the membership and then enjoy the savings.

That is just my .02 cents

The most significant difference I see between the 3PM and the 3PK from a boating perspective is the available choices for the 3rd channel. The 3PM only has rocker switches. The 3PK has several knobs. This means if you want to control a 3rd channel needle with the 3PM you have to hold down the rocker switch while the needle moves. On the 3PK you can have the third channel on a dial so it will move as fast as you move the dial. If you use a third channel and want the rotary type control, the 3PK is the obvious choice. If you don't use a 3rd channel, or the rocker type control is ok for you, the 3PM is a good option.

thanks that was something i was thinking of as i would use a third channel needle and i guess the dial would be easier to use

Something else the 3PK has is the ability to drop the steering wheel down lower. I did this & have come to really like it because I change the 3 rocker trim functions that are around the wheel. I move the throttle trim to the rocker button at the three o'clock position, leave the steering trim up top and put the 3rd channel trim at the 9 o'clock position with toggle down being lean & toggle up for rich. With the transmitter set this way you can easily adjust your 3rd channel mixture with your left thumb never having to let go of the steering or throttle, a real good thing when under race conditions. I started doing this when I began using the 3PJS but with the drop down steering wheel feature of the 3PK it's even easier to reach the 3rd channel trim. B)

I have had my 3PK for 2 racing seasons now and it is Flawless

and I would put in a twin 90 rigger with no worrys.

I just got a 3PM for my sons 20 rigger and 20 mono with no

issues after 2 full races and much practice time.

The 3PK has an awesome menu system...quick and easy

FUTABA has a winner.......
