Not exactly sure what happen with you guys in the start of the shootout, i was too upset that i lost a motor, all i can say is Bucks driving skills were outstanding and his boat was flying!! that Twin is tuned to perfection...This Video Does Show Buck dive bombing to a open inside lane about the time we all rounded #6 hitting the throttle. my boat got hit on the right rear corner... Not the left corner..... He did get blown off the water...... Otiz hit the start and was GONE....... somehow 2 laps later I drew a DQ by Rick Bellinger after being called a Good Start????? I guess Buck **** did not know he ran up my ass on my right rear corner on the start or had not seen any video?? Hint Buck.... You left parts & paint stuck into my boat on the right rear corner.... Trying to swing from lane 6 to 2. I rode off to the left deep on lap 2 to let Chuck have clean water & race with Ortiz after Rick screams DQ 2 laps later?? Ortiz Stuffed in the rear off #3 and dropped a engine.... Never the less. One of our team mates Chuck was in Victory Circle........ Congrats to all of the Roadrunner Team Members that ran Very Well and Team Roadrunner Wins 3 years in a Row........ & all is Good!!! The Final was English,Beals,Warren, Simmons, Buck & Ortiz....... English had problems in the rear & never made a lap after launching... parked it on the offshore buoy.. And Beals dropped a engine on mill #2 and was floating on the inside of the race course left of the clock....... Congrats To Charles Simmons 2013 Atlanta Spring Nats Twin Champion!!!! it has been a Long Road to Get There & I`am glad to See Him Win it!!!!!!! He has blown up a lot of stuff to get there.......

He has the utmost respect for the model boats.I love the reaction from the guy with the camera , I think he $%^& his pants , people need to have more respect for these twins they are haulin ass and can be out of control in a heart beat.
Great race guys. B)

Not sure how having a guy standing on a dock just off six while six twins are hitting the start is a smart move ,especially when he clearly wasn't paying attention.Tim that is George ( his last name escapes me at the moment) . Doug, I know you guys were doing your best to keep it all level playing field........ The guy that got blown off knows he made a run for a open hole and did not make it........  .... This Does Not take away from Chucks Win..... Ralph & I work on all of the Team RR Boats cause you never know whos is going to be running at the finish!!!! Thanks for all of your help.Joe,
Setting the record straight. Standing up, my right hand high in the air!!
Yep, after watching the video that was not the right call. But it was my call, and I called it into a dead microphone when it happened. Rick called it over the PA as soon as it was restored. I / we still don't know what happened to the power, PA, whatever............... No conspiracy, you have my word.
We all took our jobs as CDs / referees, very seriously and made the calls as we saw them.
Three of us not counting Rick saw the same thing, real time. And honestly, if it wasn't for that I'd be hesitant to ever take on that job again.
We have all taken our lumps at the hands of a CD. It's a tough job. Things happen very quickly. Mistakes are going to happen. We are human and don't have the benefit of an instant replay, I wish we did.
I'm glad things worked out for team Roadrunner, and I'm glad you are taking it like a sportsman.
Having said that. I'm offering you my personal apology, and an apology on behalf of the AMB, and the Spring Nats. CD committee.
I am sorry for the error.
