Hey Guys,

I was wondering if anyone knows who I can get some K&B motor mods done by. I am running 3.5 outboards & 7.5 in & outboards. I think I'm just looking for piston & sleave mods for now. I could probable do them myself, but I'd rather see one done by someone who knows what the hel* they are doing first. Any help would be great.

Mark

p.s. Hey Mike ...I'm sorry I haven't got the ss Villian yet......soon ....very soon

I would say Rod Geraghty also. Has turned one of my so so engines in to a real runner. I also just purchased 2 more from him. Should get them this week. WILL KNOCK YOU DOWN WITH HIS KNOWLEDGE OF ENGINES, and he explains things in a manner you can under stand. In this area I think you get what you pay for and Rod is the man in that regard also, because you will not be disappointed. :D

regards Curt

obviously depends on what you need. I recently had him do a mac 21 with new bearings, plugged the rotor, and re-sized the head button for around $150 including shipping, which seemed reasonable considering his skill level and time involved.

oh yeah, the motor was an ebay special that I merely had to add the $150 to make right. I could have done the bearings myself, but don't have the tools to do the rest. I could have had a new engine.... sometimes you lose (I'll be polite and not say the seller's name as I've seen you post here)

Hey y'all,

I just got to this post. Does Rod do CMB O/Bs as well? If not, who should I go through?

Thanks for the advice,

Snowdog

He did CMB inboards for me. I would think since he works on k&b outboards he could.

Regards Curt

Rod does indeed do CMB OBs.. As a matter of fact i think he might have been one of the first to covert them.. Someone is going to challenge that but as i remember he began this in 95 or 96...cant remember.

I'm an Equal Opportunity motor guy...........I seen and done them all. ;)

I personally have run a lot of outboards since 1976 and have sprinkled in a hydro, mono and Sport 40 here and there.

This is a fact. There is as much performance in the lower unit of an outboard as there is in the powerhead.

Since I do so many motors,I do see problem patterns pretty early into the game and begin to address them early on.

Since I do not sell motors,I have no allegiance to any brand.

Man I love this SPORT, A long time ago I was told about this site & all the great people here. I must say Thanx again for all the help & info I have gathered fom you .
