you must be kicking yourself now since Brian is on break. if you were thinking of building one of The Sport 40 here's an update on mine(you can check out the pics in my gallery. so far i have tested the following props

450/3 Brian recomends this one it works good)

450/2 ( you would think this to be the prop for a sport 40.... maybe)

1455/3 (Really fast prop takes some time to get up on plane)

1452/2 fast and really smooth

prather 235 good all round prop a litte on the small side and it needs to be cupped up....but really too small

next wll be a prather 240 with some cup and some others

all these props have different amount of cup and pitch the 1400 props seem to be very fast but they take time to get up on plane(not for weak motors) i think i'll get some barr cuts on the next few that i prep. the Whiplash has grate potential. Brian did a good job. you can actually run a almost square course with this boat .... it turns so well. i like the large foot print makes the boat very stable( wider is better) i think i may build another one. stay tuned .... i still need to beat up on those guys in my district(they know who they are they are probably reading this post) with one race under my belt and not too good a showing next weekends race will tell.

Let's get ready to rumble, Hey Lay I will be there with my Whip to give you a run for your money. I am running a modified 245 so keep you eye on it if you can. LOL I am running a 450/2 with good results 3 blade loads up to much with the OPS. The 245 was reduced and barr cut to let it spool up. I don't think I have a chance against Richie B. but I'll give it a shot lane one win's. J&J Racing

i knew this would stir things up a bit  i tested last sunday and was happy with the session. J&J i'l be there

i know i'm making some trouble now. -_- walk the walk i will do the last race was my first race with the bugs somewhat worked out <_< and a brand new motor worked in a little more  . watch out cause i'm doing more testing. i'm sure if i had finished earlier and had the motor broken in and tested i'm sure i would be far ahead of where i'm at now. worry cause i'm getting it there

Sport 40.....I'm in a happy place.....If I'm on.......I'm ready to rumble........

Looking forward to it.

Sorry Lay......it was not you!!!! Still waiting to see you get that thing going. Get the butt end out of the water!!!

Although I had issues and finished 5th, and you 6th......you gotta admit.....speed wise.....I still got ya buried.....buy a mile ;)

Find "that prop".......u have until July 29th........

Thanks for comin out...it was a fun day yesterday!

So who ended up walking the walk?

well i must say that my back up plan since i lost that prop i tested blew up in my face. i was running a prather 235 with a little cup and that prop was too small. i went back to the 1455/2 blade and couldn't get the boat on pipe in the last heat. i'm not making excuses though a DNS, 2nd, DNF not good i have a few days to get it straight. i'll take my licks for now....... don't plan to much longer

Well....I had my carb troubles also, and ran all or nothing.

It will be fun next race for sure, since I'll be back to rockin', Jerry is kickin butt...I saw it run, and....well.....we are waiting on you boss!

See ya July 29th at North Pond!

Hey Lay good thing I didn't bring my Whip to Whip your butt.I also have been testing props but I also have some other issues I am testing. By the way I would run a 450/2 blade if you want all out speed. I have been testing others and will let you know what happens. What is your strut set at?? You sure as heck talked the smack up but couldn't back it up. If you are going to talk up the Whip back it up so Brain can be proud. LOL J&J Wait till July bro I am going to be ready to rock might even have the sport 21 Whip ready. By the looks of it I'll kick you're butt in A/B hydro as well LOL I am killing myself I should drop it before I eat my words. Just joking with you and having fun. Lane one win's!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
