you must be kicking yourself now since Brian is on break. if you were thinking of building one of The Sport 40 here's an update on mine(you can check out the pics in my gallery. so far i have tested the following props
450/3 Brian recomends this one it works good)
450/2 ( you would think this to be the prop for a sport 40.... maybe)
1455/3 (Really fast prop takes some time to get up on plane)
1452/2 fast and really smooth
prather 235 good all round prop a litte on the small side and it needs to be cupped up....but really too small
next wll be a prather 240 with some cup and some others
all these props have different amount of cup and pitch the 1400 props seem to be very fast but they take time to get up on plane(not for weak motors) i think i'll get some barr cuts on the next few that i prep. the Whiplash has grate potential. Brian did a good job. you can actually run a almost square course with this boat .... it turns so well. i like the large foot print makes the boat very stable( wider is better) i think i may build another one. stay tuned .... i still need to beat up on those guys in my district(they know who they are they are probably reading this post) with one race under my belt and not too good a showing next weekends race will tell.
