Which Futaba radio?

I know this has been covered before, but a super good friend of mine is going to ease back into some model boat racing, and wanted to know which radio he should buy....i dont know very much about the futaba Faast systems, as i still use my old stuff, but i know they seem to be the most widley used radios for boats, so what would be the best model Futaba pistol radio/reciever to buy as far as bang for the buck? He plans on running 20 Stock tunnel, 40 Hydro, and possibly a 3rd boat later on. I told him you guys would be able to give better info then myself as i dont use em........yet!(no money!)AND what would the package cost? Many thanks, Bill the dinosaur!

theres the futaba 3pl fhss system 117.00 at tower includes a free standard servo right now too, also I hear nothing but good things about the flysky GT3B also

4PL half the price both transmitter and receivers and works just as good as the Fasst systems.

Hey Bill!

I bought a used (new condition) Futaba 3PK fasst from ebay...then I just started buying Fut. R603FS (internal and external antennas) receivers for the boats that I run/race....also bought servos as I needed as I don't use the standard ones you end up paying for in a new system.....this radio is more than what I need....

Danny,thats the one we (he) decided to go with.....it appears to have what is needed to run boats at a decent price! Thanks for the input guys!
