Randy,

Are you having second thoughts about leaving boating? If Randall can come to Charleston's race in October (2000) so can you. Just whizzz on down in your Porsche. I'll even spring for the cost of a very close parking space to the pit area, just for you! Will be worth it to get you here to one of the best races anywhere. I'll even loan you some equipment if you need it.

Thanks for the offer John however, I'm having too much fun with the car right now. I'm still an IMPBA member and local club member. I check the r/c boat sites from time to time just to keep in touch.

I even had a local guy wanting me to drive all his boats this year. Kind of like a Michael Schumacker of r/c boating.LOL.

Might be back one day. Who knows.

Thanks .................... (Inactive) Randy

Click on my name for a better look at the car. And yes, I actually fit in it. :p

My wife just saw the photo and said "He can fit into that small car?" Looks great but I am sure you are itching to smell that nitro and the ground shaking from those big engines firing up!!!!!!!!!

My offer may be of limited time - Naah, I'll stick with it.

Here is another site that might interest you. It is the IMPBA District 1 discussion board.

The Northern Lights Model Boat Club has over 50 members and they are really helpful, especially to new comers.

There is a race in Collingwood this August. You should try and make it up to see what real r/c boat racing is all about. Unfortunately the site at Wild Water Kingdon is not ready. They are doing repairs to the dam and have yet to release the water. Hopefully soon.

Thanks .............................. Randy
