I have never seen an 80 mph 67 Hydro save for John Brown one time in Brandon . He did not finish so a 65 mph hydro won but i live a shelterd life here in Florida !!
Tom are you Serious? You need to come to Indiana!! I did not say you need to go 85 every lap. But your boat will Need the ability to go there. I have seen Many 60 riggers run 88 many times...... if the water & air conditions are correct. A good boat set up correctly & a stk engine can run 76-77 all day long...... Modified engine & a little more loaded (cup) RPM & you will move into the mid 80`s You MUST Swing the PROP. Propping down is not a option!! Now if your talking 7-8 boat heats well you will not be able to run WFO. Are you moding your own props or buying pre-cupped props? You keep bending cup till it pulls 1/2 way down the back stretch before it runs out of prop & you will be there...... H32 I have not had to heat treat. But I believe jims used some cobalt in his alloys. The 1662 if you pass 5.2 cup it will bent the blades over in about 2-3 heats If Not heat treated. I think Marty Davis offers prop heat treating? Another nice thing about the H32 It Keeps you on a Full 1/4 shaft & NO Step Down.........I broke a lot of Step down shafts & lost the @&^%$ prop trying to Go faster.........

all you guys who run h-32"s, ive done some extensive testing over the past several weeks and definetly agree

that this is the best 60rigger prop..i just want to ask all of you, does anyone feel that this prop needs to be heat treated??? the 1662 definetly needs heating, whats everyones thought for the H-32?? is this prop strong enough to handle heavy heatracing?? will it hold its shape and pitch?
Brett, Mark Grim Done Ralph a couple of Nice H32`s.

Another tip Brett is to take your 67 hydro to the lake by itself. its is hard to increase the speed of a boat running many others @ the same time. The people that are running well in 60 hydro Put in a lot of test time testing different squish, different pipes, pipe lengths & bending on diff props, Years ago Andy would cut down (62mm) & depitch 90 props w/various profiles that had ideal COB pitch for 67 Hydro`s, But you would have to launch the motor 30 numbers rich to get it off the bank. all of this is OK as long as you already know this is going to be required. You will not heat race @ 85-88 mph by Mistake. It will require a Lot of work on that 1 paticular 60 boat..... I prefer the Picco 67 with a RPM rod, It has great mid range & torque & makes all of this easier... But I have seen Chris Woods 67 CMB run 88 plus mph in heat trim. So it Can Happen with the CMB 67`s too... B) Most great 67 hydro you will find if you run the front sponsons loose (attack angle high) you will need to run the rear strut a tick tight. If you tighten up the Front Sponsons you can flatten out the strut angle. But you will not run Fast not knowing exactly where your boat is set up at!!! & both ends of the boat cannot be tight or your engine will be laboring.......
