After the winter nats the rest of my scale comrades (most of them) got to see what i was telling them after my trip out west at last years NW Scale Championships...That dawn CRAWL..I dont mean slow speed i mean CRAWL..It was fun to watch but not race against....

It was fun to see to Two Scale masters (wish Mark Grim could of stayed but had to catch a flight,,qualified for the final also) with different starting techniques...

Now catch this..who made the final..

Joe Wieblehouse dist scale Winner Twice

Ray Kindred Dist 3 Fast here in Dist 3

What was the results of sport40 Robert
I'm not sure who was able to see the race, but the battle between Jack St . Clair and Steve Hearl was epic ! Steve drove the dog sh-t out of his rig with the bow scratching for the sky several times while Jack wore it out for several laps till it was a do or die for the final lap pass ......Steve won . It was one of the best battles of the weekend for sure !

guys this is a post to thank the people from the west coast..if you want results please start a different topic.... thank you :p dont get your nitro all up in flames please..Toms twin is well lets just say awesome...

Sorry I couldn't get out here earlier. Between the Dock and IW and threads being started everywhere, not to mention the 278 e-mails waiting for me at home, .........well, here I am.

I had a great time at the WinterNats. There was a reason why I arrived in Florida on Monday morning and didnt come home until the following Monday afternoon.

Its the people. I saw boaters I haven't seen in years and put faces with e-mail exchanges. I wasn't at the race site five minutes and people were making sure I had what I needed. It wasn't a President thing. The OCD's were assisting anyone who needed help. Then I noticed that it wasn't just a club thing. Whether you were from Puerto Rico, Canada, New York, Washington, IMPBA, NAMBA or another club in D3, people got people on the water. We all spoke the same language.

I would like to mention the people who helped all of us out but better I dont mention anyone then miss one. But I do have to thank Perry Walter for "hiring" me to drive for him. I had the best time racing Jack St. Clair and Steve Gualtieri. What a heat we had in scale. I hope that I did right by Perry.

Thanks everyone for the hospitality. You know that you are having a good time when you are hanging with a bunch of boaters and hear something that I haven't heard in 30 years.

Excuse me sir ...................last call! "Fish On Fire"

Thanks again everyone...................

Awesome Al, Glad the Fla crew helped you enjoy your stay- What boat did Perry let you drive- The "Mark & Pak" I hope- its a treat to drive- yes ?? I have had the honor of driving her a few times "not to your level of course" but a great boat none the less....

Al: You did more than right by me. I just wish I could have provided you with a boat that was ready for all four heats. You drove like the champion that you are. It was my pleasure to have you drive for me and that invitation stays open for any race that you want to attend in our area. Next time I will make doubley sure that the boat is capable of finishing all four heats plus a final.

Andy: Yes Al did drive the Mark & Pak and both you and I can take a lesson from him on competative driving. He gave it one heck of a ride, winning the consulation and running a solid second in the final when the throttle servo let go shutting off the engine. Perry

Capt ,,, you are correct ,,Al had that boat in all the correct places sure was fun to run against Al,David and Mark class act drivers....We need to start a EAST / WEST Scale Championship some where in the middle of the US ,,that would be a blast...

Hey you guys....... lets get something straight. We missed having Mark Grim there in the Final as he had to take an early flight. That would have changed everything.

And I think that we can all agree on one thing. When you have the opportunity to drive a boat that will run with the likes of David Newton, Steve Gualtieri, and Jack St. Clair, you learn to drive with your level of competition. They made me a better driver. To the spectators, it looked like we knew what the heck we were doing. ;)

Thanks again Capn,

You da man!.

See ya, Al Waters
