This is just a reminder that the October 28th WCRA race will be held at the Orlando Culvert Dodgers' site at Lake Richard.

The gates will open at 7:30 am and the drivers meeting with begin at 9:00am.

To speed up the driver check in process, we would like entries postmarked by October 19th.

The link for the flyer is http://www.flwcra.com/files/wcra_entry_form.pdf

The WCRA website is located at http://www.flwcra.com.

Any questions, please contact Gary Weinman or Wayne Farrow.

Brian Watts is the correct address..

Why is Open Hydro not even offered at these races ? If it was on the menu maybe people would show up to run , if they don't enter no harm no foul . Certainly this class takes less time to run than the slow stock outboard class so it can't be a time issue , what gives ?? Gas Rigger, GX1 , is not offered either ???? I am a Hydro guy and would like to see this amended if possible , anyone agree ?

With the brunt of the one days run in the Brandon/Tampa areas, I think???? (sorry Don-if Im overstepping here) its safe too say the rule of thumb has always been- 3 of any like boats makes class. Obviously with given notice and permission and at the descretion of the host club. But the way I see it Tom, If we cant get 3 F-Hydro's together for a 2 Day high points race, its gonna be a tuff nut for a One day. I hope I havent spoken out of line for the clubs involved, but this just seems to be the norm for added classes. If my vote counts I would LOVE to see F-Hydro added at least.

Andy

I guess my point is that if it isn't even on the entry form as it has been for the last 24 years , then some may just say " Fuzz it " and not even inquire . Again , I am guilty of a lack of participation due to other circumstances but i think that many might enter if it was at least offered .

I have to agree with Tom. If ythe class isn't even advertised then we are less likely to have a turnout for that class.

Spoke to Brian last night- No WCRA one day race this weekend in Orlando. Unfortunate- poor entry count. This series means a ton to me because its all I can afford to do right now- Its a shame to see a race get scrubbed due to lack of attendance. <_< Especially with only 2 races to go and some pretty good points battles........ <_<
