I have some set screws that I used to plug the holes in the water jacket if you remove the fitting. Let me know if you want some and send me your mailing address and I'll get them out to you for free.Yes I also have some like that but either way I need plugs so !!

The ONLY negative I just found,,,
Can you re-tap female thread in cooling jacket, Rick?....have had to do that on a couple of different builds. The ONLY negative I just found,,,
You can't screw them in on the RS style heads/ cooling jackets.
Unless you can remove the nipples and reinstall them?
Please let us know Don.
Rick
What are you referring to? I have them on all of my RS motorsThe ONLY negative I just found,,,

I tried some of that style a few years back, the threads on the brass jamb nut strips out too easily.
On the RS engines the water holes in head are above each other. What are you referring to? I have them on all of my RS motors
Ok, I see what you're saying. I've never cooled the lower half, always added second hole 180* from top one. Plugged the lower hole with a 5mm set screw and Locktite, been doing it that way since the late 90s.Pic of 45.
Too close to spin them in
Yeh, that works in a hydro,,Ok, I see what you're saying. I've never cooled the lower half, always added second hole 180* from top one. Plugged the lower hole with a 5mm set screw and Locktite, been doing it that way since the late 90s.
No you have an outlet fitting routed to a water outlet on the side of the hull. I run scales, sport 40s and monos that way.Yeh, that works in a hydro,,
But at slower speeds the water goes into the bilge..
Your using a banjo fitting. So I take it no 90* water fitting works. Not just the one Don is selling.Yeh, that works in a hydro,,
