I am building a spare sport 20 on a budget and it does not have to be a high strung screamer just a decent sport boat.

Looking for good used reasonably priced parts to start/ finish a Muck sport 20 hull.

1)20 size rudder.

2)3/16"Flex shaft with stub

3)Pipe mount

4)Tuned pipe for 3.5 K&B front/flywheel exhaust

5)Cowl locks

Thanks to those who have helped out.Mike joe chris..

Hi Terry, you may want to check out the hardware from ebay seller "TOPSECRETBOATS" His hardware has been listed weekly; keep an eye on it.

While it's not quite as pretty as Speedmaster hardware, it's decent, and usually sells for 'bout half of Speedmaster. I think it's fine for sport use, and he does offer a nice looking sport hydro turn fin.

Also consider a K&B 3.5 for your engine. They may not be quite as fast or reliable as the more popular choices, but they're still pretty fast, comparatively inexpensive, and again, perfect for sport use... The newer drum rotor version is preferred, but the old 12mm crank induction engine goes OK too. You can probably pick up a good-used one for under $60 on eBay.

Hey Mike, I saw this pic in your gallery.

Might you know the name of the gentleman holding the blue boat, and also how well that one runs?

BTW- if Terry doesn't want that RPM 20 mount, I'd like to buy it... :)

That is Mike Butler. Jim Wilson in the middle and I on the left. It is an OK boat. No barn burner. Lets say the 3 fastest boats that day were Jim Wilson, Alfred Lanza, and I. I ended up 3rd overall. 1st,1st,6th,1st. That 3rd heat killed me. That was the only heat of the day that all boat fininshed. It just so happened my pipe had slid 1/4 forward. All I could do was troll aroudn the pond. Jim Had a perfect day. The only time I drew him was the heat that I took 6th. I had him covered on speed. I was 4 points out of 2nd. Lets say it sucked. I had fast time for a while. Alfred bumped it up at the end by 2 seconds. For a boat that I borrowed from a friend and setup my MAC into not bad. Did I mention that I only ran it 5 times. Once in open water and then the 4 heats. I was sure I was going to take it all after the open water.

Mike

PS It is yours if Terry decides to pass.

Yeah; that ol' slip of the pipe will do it every time...

Thanks for the name Mike Butler, and info on that boat. I'd seen it for sale on eBay for a while now, with no takers. I'm wanting to build a light weight version of an Ira Cotton sport 20... If I can ever get my hands on some plans. :)

Cheers,

Duane
