Rob,

The CMB 45 HR or RS would be a better choice, the parts are available to support the

engines. The HR looks very similar to the MAC 45, it just has a prettier red head for

Christmas on it. :D I have them in stock ready for Christmas if you need one. :D

Happy Holidays,

Mark, Is that new CMB a torque engine? Or, is it like the Mac?

Rob,

It will be whatever you set it up for. The engine should rev. quite well in it's stock form.

Out of the box, I think you will be very competitive. Is this for a Sport 40? It will work

well in one of those also. :D

Mark, It would be for a Mutt sport 40. I may need a torque engine vs the Mac. I don't know of anyone who has run a Mac in a Mutt with any real sucess but I was going to try. Now, I'm thinking I may have to go with either a CMB 45RS or possibly a K45. I suppose I can try them all..... :p

Rob both the MAC45 & the CMB45 that Jay has are good motors but nobody is coming off their MAC45's. The new CMB is very much like the MAC, if you can't wait for the new stuff from CMD then I would go with Jay's motor. :)

Is the timing and bore of the carb the same on this CMB 45 as the Mac 45? I have found the CMB Rs 45 to be an excellent sport 40 engine.

Is this new CMB suited best for mono, outrigger or sport 40?

Motor is tentatively sold to Don Riek. If that falls through Dave Rumble is second in line..
