I may have what you are looking for but it is a built boat not a kit ,,,,I may let it go to a real racer as I am not racing any more

Its actually the 2014 SGX 45 that he wants. 99.9% chance he won’t find one. Better chance of running a successful saw mill in West Texas. It appears to be Andy’s best 45 . But, the more plentiful 2003-2013 era triple rear sponson boat that Will mentioned is still a good race boat.

Like so many have stated, the 2014 is a unicorn that few will part with but I would widen your shopping list a bit, all my Eagles are “old” refurbished SG’s who by all accounts should not be competitive but I would never part with them. It’s all in your set up and tuning that makes them a competitive beast! Pretty difficult to buy a well tuned racing beast, even the most current offerings take a well refined set up to be a winner. Just my 2 cents.

I at one time had a wall full of the SGX series Will mentioned. Owned and raced every size from 21 to twin and even the SGX gasser. The triple rear sponson SGX45 was the best of all of them.

The SG I got from Eric Canto in like 2007 is still a great running boat despite picking up a little weight from crashes . The Novarossi .46 DD is working great !

Original SG was great too! First boat I went over 100 mph with. I’ve modified my SGX to be more like it actually. But the SGX holds more fuel and when recommending one of the 2 that alone is the only reason to go SGX.

Jeff, which era AB SG(X) 45 had just a single ski and horizontal winglets at rear, fairly narrow sponsors?

The original SG had 2 underneath rear sponsons. Then Andy removed them on the same boat and ran just the one center sponson. On that boat the tail would come out sometimes in heat racing coming out of the turns and then Andy added the two outside sponsons back and ran all three on the same era boat. That’s when he took the same wings and turned them upside down and the left went to the right and the right wing went to the left. SGX was always triple rear but the sponsons and hull are lower profile the boom spread is spread from front to back and the hull is 3/16” downhill towards the front on some of the early ones.
