No idea on the rigger - it's Wild Bill's old boat - he should be able to answerr that one.

Okay, as promised:

Eat My Shorts Racing's Craig Chenco, with his A-90 powered Seaducer at the 2000 nats at Hunter Valley. Craig won, but mostly because he kept going! Hey craig, the cooling jacket is still red in this pic! ;D Also note the LARGE Muck pipe.

This is me, at the 99 nats in 2000 (long story) in Sydney. I am holding a 45 SG, which is mostly out of frame! I didn't do so well with that boat at that event.

I stil look basically the same, just a bit fatter!

That picture of Craig will make it easier for me to look him up at the Internats. It'll be easier to spot Eric, 16 years old and 300 lbs. I'll be the one cruising the Campground on a recumbent bike.

I dont think that is a race tho. 8) All the drivers look too relaxed. There are not many pitmen for the drivers, and all the push- buttons are just hanging at the front! ;D

I think the pic was taken before the clock started so the pit men would be still on the pontoon waiting to start them and launch.

I'd say it would be a petrol mono heat going by the drivers.

hey Tim,

do the drivers not start thier own boats Down Under?

at my club the drivers start thier own boats, give a nod to the pit, THEN grab the transmitter.......from the pic and what you said is happnin' it seems like the drivers are just waiting for their pit guys to start and launch the boats while they get ready to drive [i think that's actually a better way, but still.......]

help a poor confused redneck from Dixie out will ya? ;D

Some drivers start their own boats, but it is safer for the pit man to do it as there is a walkway from the pontoon to the drivers stand to negotiate.

i gotcha. we dont even have a driver's stand, though it's about 10 yards from the pit area to the launch dock, including a set of stairs. owch, that would hurt- running boat+fall down the steps= i dont know what but something NOT GOOD.

Nope, it wasnt hot.... It was in the middle of January this year around the Georgia, Florida border. I got there on thursday for open water in shorts and a tshirt, but when Sat. and Sun. came around is was downright freezing! They had snow come in Sunday night after the races. Good thing I threw the coat in the car before I left the house! I had like six tshirts on under the jacket!! Most guys didnt bring any cold weather clothing...... :-

Although it was a great race. Glenn Quarles put it on, and did a great job.

IT GOES GOOD BUT THE DRIVER HAS NO CLUE OF WHAT HIS DOING...

WE WILL GET A SHOT OF TIM ON THE NEXT OUTTING TO PUT UP HERE.
