As someone who has designed and built several different fiberglass boats from scratch, I can tell you the time commitment in building molds. Even once that part is done, stop and consider that if you were paying yourself a decent hourly wage what you would have to charge for the boat would be ridiculous.
I used to build custom 1/24 slot cars for fellow racers, scratch built chassis, everything hand built.
I added up the hours building this car versus what I charged and it like 75 cents per hr!
john, I use to race for FAST ONES.. (Ron Hershman).. Many moons ago. (7th at the NATS in box stock 15 back in the 90s) I also build custom Drag cars.. (we had 1000'footer in the store)
