Can anyone help me identify this vintage Miss US 1/8 Scale Hydroplane? It features an unusual construction technique of fabricated wood sticks rather than bulkheads and stringers. It is extremely light.
An associate mentioned that years ago, someone by the name of Tom possibly, appeared in a Don Mock video discussing a similar building technique.
The dummy engine looks to say Sayres Special on the valve covers, so it may have been used previously on a different boat.
I intend to restore the boat, so any help identifying it or the builder would be great.
Thanks
