I saw the fastest pass at a SAW record trails I have ever attended, and I have seen some very fast runs over the years. I can't say for sure if any records were broken because there were two (2) record trails being held on the same weekend which I can't remember happening in years past and this is why I can't say for sure if actual records were set. I saw KP run a Sport 20 Hydro in excess of 80+ mph in a two way pass. I saw John Finch run 116+ mph and 117+mph with a C Hydro rigger that was very fast, I also saw Aaron make two of the fastest passes I have ever seen with a 45 Pico Hydro Rigger. Steve Speas went over 82 mph with a LSG36 Aeromarine Avenger Cat, and John Finch pushed passed his old LSG 27 Sport Hydro to 92+mph. I just don't know if these are records because results from the Huntsville Record trails have not be posted yet. There were also several other possible record SAW runs made but we will have to wait and see. KP has all of the information from the event. I had a great time and really enjoyed meeting all those who attended the event as well as really stand up gentlemen from down under who has some of the fastest boats I have personally ever seen.

I love all this secret squirrel stuff with you SAW guys... :blink:

As we have a Aussie competing there it would be great to hear some news from the event with real numbers.... I understand there are two competing events but that can sort itself out later, surely.

As Don has hinted just post the numbers please somebody...

here is some info i got from kp tonight.. i am sure he or someone that was there can fill in the rest

kently set the SPORT 20 hydro record at i beleive just over 80mph

i beleve he also set the c hydro ( .28 size motor ) at 109 mph

aaron made a pass with his twin.. one direction at i beleive 139 the other at 119. they thought maybe there was a timing issue and aaron didn't think the boat made a 139 pass so he declined the times.. then the boat broke. and i believe he hurt a motor. ( not sure in what order this was )

kently messed up the lower unit on his ( I BELIEVE ) 21 mod tunnel but i forgot if it was the mod or stock.

john finch set a new 67 hydro record @ 116 and change.

that is all I got.. if any of this is incorrect whom ever was there please correct my numbers.

You got the numbers wrong and the boats wrong with Aaron......his 45 boat was ballistic but he broke the motor. His twin never got a good speed run because the transom got tore off and he lost over a thousand dollars worth of hardware to the pond. Kentley has all the official numbers. Maybe he will post soon. We all worked hard for 4 days and we are all tired.
