Just finished my Twincraft 46" rebuild, fresh Chrysler Vitamin C 2 pack, CMB 90GP highly mod, Gardner exhaust throttle. Does anyone remember running these dinosaurs?

Good running boats back in the day. Set the balance of the boat at 29% ( about 13 inches forward of the transom ) RTR no fuel and put a " half moon " style turn fin on the right rear with 2 3/4 inches in the water and you should be good to go. Fun boat to drive.

Dick Tyndall

still have one on the self with my very old J&G 25 motor in it. been thinking about putting a stock 260 in it

Dick Tyndall had one of the best running Twin Crafts that ever ran on the water and he had a National Championship or two among his many national wins and US-1 with the boat. He made some set up sheets for the transom hardware that diagram the best setup I have seen work. It was a good boat in it's day when we were all cavemen in model boating. LOL

The TwinCraft was my favorite boat back in the 90's. I got hooked on it because I saw Ralph Henry and Dave Sarkin with one here in SoCal. I bought my hulls from John Finch and then from Steve Speas when he took over the line. Got to race both of them in 1993 at the NAMBA Nats and learned a lot. Ran Picco old style in the 45, 60, and 80 boats with Gardner Throttle Exhausts and Picco silver in the 21 mono.

When Steve came out with the newer style 21 mono that didn't duplicate the look of the other two hulls, I got one of those and still have it today for the grand kids or just playing around at the pond.

Those boats treated me very well over the years.

Thanks,

Al Waters

It was yellow and black with Penzoil stickers on it. The guy I bought it from left fuel in the tank during transport and it ruined all the paint. Do you know the boat?

Ralph moved on when his kids got older. He coached football when they got be that age. I have not seen him in a few years. He should be a grandpa by now. Still lives in So Cal from what I last heard.

Had give a lot of though to putting my one together with a 101 in it..... that would a ride...LOL
