I pulled Andy`s full 67mm 1667 6.7 easily & have had 1667 6.9`s on the boat too. Dont under prop or the prop speed will be too much on the new P/L .014 on 60% Nitro & 20 percent oil...... The 14% oil is BS on the Big engines it will Kill the piston...... the ones that are running 14% are buying pistons too.....
Joe, who runs 14% oil in big engines?

I do, and had no problems what so ever. Done it for years.

depending on the quality of the oil.

I make my own fuel

Testing the new VAC 91's this sunday along with my Carb conversion to rotary barrel operation instead of the std. articulating / guided mode ,,hoping for good results doing away with any carb sticking issues that have been cropping up . :)
KEEP ME POSTED ON THE NEW MOTORS..KEEP CHECKING YOUR PROPS FOR DEPITCHING IF THEY ARE NOT HEAT TREATED, AND MAKE SURE

YOUR STRUTS ARE NOT MOVING..I PRETTY MUCH GOT ALL THE BUGS OUT OF MINE..JUST DOING SOME PROP TESTING NOW...I HAVE A

SMALL GPS..I WONT HAVE A CHANCE TO TEST UNTIL NEXT WEEK OR MAYBE THE FOLLOWING WEEK..MY GOAL IS A 95MPH HEAT RACING BOAT..

I KNOW IM CLOSE

My goal is to get the $%^@ thing out of the garage and on the water !! If I can get it to where I can hold it wide open in rough water with out any BS ...I'll be ecstatic !!!!! Gonna break it in on some 5.8" Homegrown water slaves till the Diamonds arrive !!!!!!!!

Julian , looks awesome ! I see the 80's have the "good " method of attachment for the carbs ! Here are a few photos of the new 91 install in the Twin formerly known as Don's LOL . You can see why I wanted to convert the carbs to rotary action so I could keep the clean Throttle linkage setup that Don did when he built this boat . I am ready to run now ..going to fuel her up shortly .

Yes Tom that exactly the carbs I have on mine but for 80 size but I will be using the bellcrank setup that came with the boat and the ball linkage setup on the carbs pretty much the same. The twin will be finished by friday and breaking it in this weekend. I'll be alone because James is going to Hagerstown and I'm staying back lol.

here an update on my Twin mitro rigger thanks for the pics now i know where to put the mixture valves james and i was thinking very hard on that one.. everything is installed we are now going over and make sure everything is perfect. Engines,Headers,Pipes, tanks, servos, switch (2 of them),props,shafts.. last thing is set the carbs, mixture valves, strut bushings and put the rudder bracket and rudder and its ready for the water..

Tom i need a pick from the hardware in the back I have issues. the rudder it had before was modified and i have the new one and the rudder bracket wont clear the rear right tail sponson  so thats the only piece of the puzzle james and i have to figure outn and its ready for the water..
